Short entry

This is just a short entry. Jim is home. He got home around 3pm. Rebecca is home also and in bed sleeping. Jim is downstairs watching the eagles game on Joes big tv. He is only watching half of it then coming upstairs. He came home with 4 long salmon fillets as long as my arm and about 2 inches thick. I washed it all off, cut it into steaks and placed it in ziploc bags to go into the freezer. There is 25 salmon steaks in there. The pictures from the trip and of the fish before they were cleaned are on a disposable camera. I have to get the photo's developed this week, then I will post them. I did take some with my camera of the fillets and of the gift Jim brought back for Rebecca which she loves. A toy stuffed salmon, lol. It is cute. I am tired. I am getting on my pajamas and going to bed. I'm even too tired to do dinner dishes. I fixed the guys, porkchops, mashed potatoes, gravy herb seasoned stuffing, baked beans salad and bisquits for dinner. They ate every bit of it too, lol. Let me post the pics, then I will go. I'm too tired to type anymore, lol.

It was ok

Thank you Roxy for the above tag.

Well my night alone was ok. I got alot of cleaning done, got my bath, had my dinner and watched tv. What did I watch? Shrek, 101 Dalmations, The Mask. LOL, of all the channels and DVD's I own that is what I watched. And right now I am watching, Son of the Mask, lol. I went to bed at midnight and did not sleep well at all. I was up at 1:45am, 3:15am, 4:45am and finally at 6am I got up and stayed up. I put on the coffee, then got out my robe cause it was cold this morning. I am so tired from lack of sleep last night. Man it is rough being home alone, lol. I haven't had a night alone in so long, I guess I forgot what I could or was suppose to do. LOL

Jim will be home in a few hours thank goodness. I miss him being in our bed at night. Everytime I roll over and don't feel him near me I wake up. And to top it off I don't see Rebecca in her bed, and I just feel so alone. Weird huh? Rebecca never called me before she went to sleep last night. Emma said the girls made a bed on the livingroom floor laid down and was watching the same shows as I was. Emma told Rebecca she was going to put the load of clothes in the dryer and then call me so I could tell Rebecca good night. She came back to livingroom afterwards and both girls were sound asleep, lol. Emma said they played outside all day, had dinner and got a bath, and watched tv. I guess they were worn out, lol.

Well, I have 434 emails to go through. So I guess I'll sort through them. I hope you all have a nice sunday.

Love to all...............................

Am I Dreaming?

Before I tell you my wonderful news, I will tell you about this morning. Jim called at almost 12 noon. He sounded so happy. He says honey, make room in the freezer. I asked him why. He said he caught 2 salmon last night while out on the boat night fishing. The small one is 33lbs, and the large one is 40lbs. He has pictures of him holding up the fish. He is also going to be on the website of the place where their at for catching the largest salmon this month. He said the other 3 guys he is with, Joe, Brad and Jay all caught fish, but none were even close to 33 and 40 pounds. He has them being cleaned and packaged and will be bringing it all home tomorrow. I'm glad he'll be home tomorrow, I miss him. And of course my daughter Emma said, Mommy don't forget me, I want some salmon. She loves it cooked under the broiler with lemon juice, butter and pepper. And salmon she is going to get too.

Now for my surprise. Emma calls me about 1pm and says, Mom do you need a break? A break I said. She said yea a break. I asked, What kind of break? She says well how about if Rebecca comes over tonight and spends the night? HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I'm like ok, but what's the catch? She says, no catch. Dan suggested that Rebecca spend the night and give me a little break for all I have done for them the past couple weeks. Well, you know I took them up on that offer. I packed her an overnight bag, a few stuffed animals to sleep with, her pillow and her duckie blanket and off to Emma's we went. I stayed there a couple hours, played with Daniel, held my baby granddaughter Adrianna who actually stayed awake in my arms for about 3 minutes, lol. Emma asked if I wanted to stay for dinner. I told her are you kidding? I don't have a kid tonight, so I am going home to enjoy that quiet time and clean my house with no interruptions. Listen to some music while cleaning. Have a Boston Market turkey and mashed potato tv dinner and a salad, and enjoy my evening alone. I'm going to soak in a nice hot bubble bath, shave my legs, wash my hair, and enjoy my little part of heaven. So if I am dreaming, please don't pinch me or wake me up cause I am really enjoying the quiet right now, lol.

My vacuum took a major crap the other day, so I brought the vacuum I gave to Emma home so I could vacuum without Rebecca chasing it with a stick like she always does, grrrrrr. She uses my wooden back scratcher to chase it. Rebecca is going to call me before she goes to bed so I can blow her night night kisses over the phone.

Wow, no husband, no child, oh my gosh. I think I'm in shock, lol.

I'll be back later.........................CINDY

The Best 24 Hours

Good evening my Jland family. I hope everyone is doing well. I just put Rebecca to bed. She was so tired, and was falling asleep on the couch. She's had a long day today. School from 8:30 to 12:09, then home to change her clothes. Doctor at 1:45 for a physical and a chicken pox shot. I am happy to say she got a clean bill of health. The doctor said she is a very healthy 6yr old and very smart too. She also had an eye exam, which is so funny. The nurse was giving her shapes in a row. The nurse would point to a shape, say in the 4th row, Rebecca would tell her what the shapes were in the next row under it, lol. Nurse said no problem with Rebecca's eyes. She has the eyes of a hawk, lol. Rebecca is 47 inches tall and weighs 67 lbs. He said just to keep an eye on her weight, and if I can to help her be more active to possibly lose 5 lbs. She is only 5 lbs overweight for a child her age and height. So we're gonna cut down on the cheese and cracker intake and add more fruit and veggies and more water. She loves water with ice cubes and a drop of lemon in it. Tonight instead of a fattening snack she had cantalope. She got her chickenpox shot and took it like a real trooper. All she said was, ouch. And she got a dinosaur sticker that said Super Patient. Then we went over to Emma's so Marissa could hear all about the needle and the doctor. Around 6pm Rebecca said she felt hot. Her cheeks were flushed, so I took her temperature and it was 101. I gave her a dose of Tylenol and an hour later, she felt cool and her temperature was down to normal. She got really sleepy and is in bed sound asleep.

Anyways my "me" time last night was great. I got all comfy on the couch, lit my candles, got in my jammies, had a pan of very hot soapy water and sat on the couch watching CSI soaking my sore feet and then gave myself a pedicure, foot scrubbing of a build up of dried cracked skin. I used Angie's body butter and rubbed it all over my feet and heels and ankles and let me tell you it felt awesome. My feet look great, feel great and are so soft now. And best of all they don't hurt from the cracking skin because it's all gone. Angie if I didn't say it before I'll say it now, you have the best products I have ever used on my skin. And I thank you so very much for having Canyonsun products. Jim would tell me I need to see a foot doctor cause of the skin cracking so bad. I don't think so, not anymore. I can't wait for him to come home sunday so I can show him my feet.

Anyways I watched CSI and I was so happy Sara was found and she opened her eyes in the helicopter. But now I hear she is alive but will be taken from the show soon? That sucks. I like her. I think she is a very good actress and plays her part well. After CSI ended, I watched Without a Trace. It was really good. These 2 shows were worth the watching. And I got to relax, pamper my feet and hear every word said on both shows because I was alone in the livingroom. Jim is away on his fishing trip and Rebecca was in bed. I felt so good this morning. I even slept good. After I took Rebecca to school and stood with her until she went inside with her teacher, I went to Emmas and spent the morning with Daniel and Adrianna. Daniel kept running over to me patting my arm and saying, Me wuvs you mommom. I swear that boy melts my heart. Then he says, you no come over yeterday. That's how he says yesterday, lol. Emma said he kept looking out the window all day yesterday for my van to pull up. But I stayed home and did my errands. Rebecca and I made sandwiches for dinner tonight. And we had a pickle. Tomorrow my day is planned. In the morning I am going through all Rebecca's clothes and sorting them out. Keeping the ones that fit her and boxing the rest up to be mailed away. Mopping my kitchen floor and going to Emma's to do a load of laundry and having dinner at her house.

Jim called this morning to see how we were doing. He said it poured all night and lightning and thunder was bad. He said this morning he woke up freezing, the temperature dropped about 30 degree's outside. He was headed over to the restaurant to have coffee, then he was headed to the river to do some fishing. He uses his flyrod when he is salmon fishing.

Well, guess that is about it for now. I'm going to go to bed in about an hour, and I hope I sleep good again tonight. I wish you all a wonderful weekend. I am going to read some journals, then head off to bed.

Dinner for me?

I just wanted to make an entry now, because I am going to be busy later on. I have to clean the kitchen, cut up cantalope and put it in containers for snacks and breakfasts, get Rebecca into bed, straighten up livingroom then park my behind on the couch and watch CSI. I will be turning off my computer at 9pm and leaving it off for the night. Tonight I will watch tv, and crochet. Just gonna relax and enjoy some me time. Jim left this afternoon to head up to Salmon River for a 4 day fishing trip, so he can't disturb my night of tv, lol. Rebecca goes to bed at 8pm, so I will have total quiet.

So, tonight I decided to do something special for Rebecca and I for dinner. I let her make the dinner, but I baked it. She's too young to use the oven. She took the roll of bisquits, flattened each one, topped it with sauce and cheese and meat and I baked them. She loved them. And so did I. We also had fresh veggies with them. We sat at the couch with our trays set up in front of us and watched tv. A Field of Dreams was our choice of movie.

Yesterday my lil man Daniel spent the day with me. I took him to Burger King for lunch. He had a chicken nugget happy meal with apple juice. He drank up his juice and conned me out of my iced tea. The lil stinker, lol. The Target Rash he had all over him is completely gone and so is the swelling. He looks so much better.

Well it is now 6:30 and I am going to go clean up the kitchen. I wanna be all done and set up for my me time and the tv. Mrs. Grissom (Lisa) I have 2 hours and 20 minutes left before it is on, wooohooooooooo. Have a great evening everyone.

Love you all.................CINDY

Miracle????

I believe................

Rebecca has to have a physical for school and I was informed she needs a second chickenpox shot. So I called our doctor. They said it was 50.00 office visit, 5.00 to fill out the form for the physical, and 85.00 for the chickenpox shot (varicella). I cannot afford that much this week. So I just made her the appointment for the physical which is tomorrow at 1:45pm. She has early dismissal tomorrow at 12:09 so that is perfect. I hung up the phone, and said Lord, how am I going to be able to afford this chickenpox she needs? Please help me with a solution. Well no sooner I got those words out of my mouth, the doctors office called me back and said she talked with the doctor and he said she can have the shot for free!!!!!!!!!!! I told them I had no insurance and lived paycheck to paycheck, when I made the appointment for tomorrow. Can you believe that? My prayer was answered that quick. DO I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES AND GOD? I SURE DO.

THANK YOU DEAR LORD.

Mornin

Well, beings I have gotten only 2 alerts today so far I have come to the conclusion that your all still sleeping, your computers ran away from home or you've been kidnapped by aliens from outer space and they don't have internet service on their planet, lol.

Above is a few pics I took. Marissa came home yesterday from school and was so happy. She told everyone about her first day of school and said she loves it. She said she colored an apple, lol. Her Daddy picked her up from school yesterday. Today Uncle Bill took her to school. They took the public transportation bus (Septa) over half way there and walked the rest of the way. Mommy can't walk it, because it is too far to drag all 3 kids out plus she still has staples in her stomach and is very sore. Daddy couldn't take her, because Daddy went back to work this morning at the Borgada. He was so happy yesterday when he got the phone call. He did not want to be out of work, not with 3 kids and a wife to support and bills to pay.

Is it really Fall? Because this weather we're having says another story. It's going to be like 90 today. WTH!!!!!!!!!!!! Where's the nice cool days? No wonder so many people are getting colds, they have no idea how to dress due to the weather changes we've had. Yesterday there was 5 kids absent from Rebecca's class. Today there was a total of 8 kids lined up for class today. Easy day for her teacher.

I just love this picture. There's something so peaceful about it. I'd love to build a little cabin with a fireplace right on this land and live there forever. Even though I live in the city of philadelphia, I grew up in the country and I miss living in the country. The city life is noisey, with entirely too much traffic, and hoodlums running around. One day I will have a nice home out in the country again.

And if I can't have a house in the country then I want one on the beach, way far from all the beach combers that come during summer months. Ok, I have dreamed to much here, lol. Only way I could have one of these is for the Publisher's Clearing house van to pull up with my bouquet of balloons and my 4 foot long cardboard check for 10,000,000.00 or I hit the Power Ball Lottery. Will that ever happen? Let's vote, lol.

Now be honest. Don't say yes just to make me happy, unless of course you really do know I will win, lol. Ok, I am being silly here, so I guess I will go now. Gonna go do up the dishes and head over to Emma's for a bit. I hope everyone has a great day today.

Love to all..............................

JukeBox

Did I say Jukebox; this is no ordinary jukebox...

It will play all of your favorite songs from 1952 through 1982. Each year has a scroll or drop down box that shows all the great songs for that year. Most years have over 40 songs.

Once you click on a song it will play and when it finishes it automatically plays the next song in the list and continues until it has played all the songs. This is really cool. Have fun with it.....!!

It has a volume control which you should use in conjunction with your computers volume control. One of the best features is that it will play in the background. That means you can be doing other computer work on a different screen. For those are not too familiar just open this Jukebox, start a song list playing THEN open another window in your Browser and use that window to surf the net or whatever, while the music plays.

I set it up on my desktop as a favorite so all I have to do is click on it and it opens automaticall y. This is the great music from the past. No Gangster Rap or other unintelligible garbage that has been foisted on the public with an attempt to pass it off as music.

There is also Christmas Music, Movie Themes, Show Tunes and lots of other categories. Pick and play any popular song from 1952 through 1982

Good Morning

Good Morning!!! I am home alone and really enjoying the peace and quiet. Jim is at work, Rebecca is in school and I am sitting here at my computer with Walker, Texas Ranger on the television. I love this show. I think Chuck Norris is so darn good looking. I really love the above tag. A big thank you to Sugar for putting it in her journal to snag.

Well, tonight is back to school night at Rebecca's school. Jim and I are both going. It is from 5pm to 7pm. Jim said he never got a chance to be involved with our daughter Emma's schooling when she was younger, but he wants to be involved now with Rebecca's. Thursday Jim is leaving in the late morning to head to Salmon River, in New York for a 4 days fishing trip, so thursday morning he is going with me to take Rebecca to school. Rebecca will love that. She'll be telling everybody this is my daddy. Plus I want Jim to meet her teacher. She is such a nice lady. Yesterday I got to talk to the teacher afterschool. She said Rebecca is so well behaved and so willing to learn. She even helps the other kids who sit at her table, lol. The teacher said, she is quiet, doesn't yell out in class, or get out of her seat. She raises her hand when she has a question or needs to use the bathroom. The bathroom is in the class, so she doesn't have to walk out in the hall to find the bathroom. She said Rebecca cleans up after herself, says please, thank you, your welcome. That makes me happy that my child is so well behaved in school, but I'm still wondering if it is my child she is talking about, lol. But it is, she's the only Rebecca in the class. So Poppop Bill no reform school this year, lol. It's a joke we share about Marissa and Rebecca. Speaking of Marissa. She started school this morning. She is in the school that is far away. 1 1/2 miles to get there. Which totals a 6 mile drive everyday to get her to school, come home, go get her after school and come home. That is just too crazy. And they will not supply transportation either. It is up to Emma and Dan to get her there and pick her up. There's no free breakfast or free lunch at that school for the kindergarten kids. Rebecca gets breakfast every morning in class, and free lunch in the cafeteria every day. Yesterday she loved her meals. Sausage and egg and cheese on a english muffin, applesauce and orange juice. For lunch she had chicken tenders, french fries, corn, peaches and chocolate milk. I will have to get a menu from the school. Because somedays there will be something she won't eat and I can pack her lunch on that day in the pretty lunchbox Angie sent her. I heard the teacher say this morning they are having pancakes and orange slices and milk for breakfast.

Anyways, I had pics I took yesterday of the baby, and I can't find my camera. I think I left it in the van or over to Emma's. I hope I did.

Emma called. She said Marissa cried a little when she left to go into her class. I guess Marissa was nervous being it was her first day there. Marissa's school doesn't supply free breakfast or free lunch. Emma has to either pack her lunch or pay for it. That sucks.

Well, I guess that's about it for now. I'm going to get a couple loads of clothes together and go over to Emma's and do some laundry. And visit with my lil man and my sweetpea (Adrianna). Alerts are still being wierd. I got 3 alerts since 4am this morning.

Take care, have a wonderful day.

Love you all.................................

Something to share

Robby's Night
True -- Worth Reading !!!
At the prodding of my friends, I am writing this story . My name is Mildred
Honor. I am a former elementary school music teacher from Des Moines , Iowa .
I've always supplemented my income by teaching piano lessons-something I've done
for over 30 years. Over the years I found that children have many levels of
musical ability. I've never had the pleasure of having a prodigy though I have taught some talented students.

However I've also had my share of what I call 'musically challenged' pupils.
One such student was Robby. Robby was 11 years old when his mother

(a single Mom) dropped him off for his first piano lesson. I prefer that
students (especially boys!) begin at an earlier age, which I explained to Robby.

But Robby said that it had always been his mother's dream to hear him play
the piano. So I took him as a student. Well, Robby began with his piano lessons
and from the beg inning I thought it was a hopeless endeavor. As much as Robby
tried, he lacked the sense of tone and basic rhythm needed to excel. But he
dutifully reviewed his scales and some elementary pieces that I require all my
students to learn.

Over the months he tried and tried while I listened and cringed and tried to
encourage him. At the end of each weekly lesson he'd always say, 'My mom's going
to hear me play someday.' But i t seemed hopeless. He just did not have any
inborn ability. I only knew his mother from a distance as she dropped Robby off
or waited in her aged car to pick him up. She always waved and smiled but never
stopped in.

Then one day Robby stopped coming to our lessons.

I thought about calling him but assumed because of his lack of ability, that
he had decided to pursue something else. I also was glad that he stopped coming.
He was a bad advertisement for my teaching!

Several weeks later I mailed to the student's homes a flyer on the up coming
recital. To my surprise Robby (who re ceived a flyer) asked me if he could be in
the recital. I told him that the recital was for current pupils and because he
had dropped out he really did not qualify. He said that his mother had been sick
and unable to take him to piano lessons but he was still practicing 'Miss Honor
I've just got to play!' he insisted.

I don't know what led meto allow him to play in the recital. Maybe it was
his persistence or maybe it was something inside of me saying that it would be
all right. The night for the recital came. The high school gymnasium was packed
with parents, friends and relatives. I put Robby up last in the program before I
was to come up and thank all the students and play a finishing piece. I thought
that any damage he would do would come at the end of the program and I could
always salvage his poor performance through my 'curtain closer.'

Well, the recital went off without a hitch. The students had been practicing
and it showed. Then Robby came up on stage. His clothes were wrinkled and his
hair looked like he'd run an eggbeater through it. 'Why didn't he dress up like
the other students?' I thought. 'Why didn't his mother at least make him comb
his hair for this special night?'

Robby pulled out the piano bench and he began. I was surprised when he
an nounced that he had chosen Mozart's Concerto #21 in CO Major. I was not
prepared for what I heard next. His fingers were light on the keys, they even
danced nimbly on the ivories. He went from pianissimo to fortissimo. From
allegro to virtuoso. His suspended chords that Mozart demands were magnificent!
Never had I heard Mozart played so well by people his age. After six and a half
minutes he ended in a grand crescendo and everyone was on their feet in wild
applause.
Over come and in tears I ran up on stage and put my arms around Robby in
joy. 'I've never heard you play like that Robby! How'd you do it?' Through the
microphone Robby explained: 'Well Miss Honor . . Remember I told you my Mom was
sick? Well, actually she had cancer and passed away this morning And well . . .
She was born deaf so tonight was the first time she ever heard me play. I wanted
to make it special.'

There wasn't a dry eye in the house that evening. As th e people from Social
Services led Robby from the stage to be placed into foster care, noticed that
even their eyes were red and puffy and I thought to myself how much richer my
life had been for taking Robby as my pupil.

No, I've never had a prodigy but that night I became a prodigy. . . Of
Robby's. He was the teacher and I was the pupil for it is he that taught me the
meaning of perseverance and love and believing in yourself and maybe eventaking
a chance in someone and you don't know why.

Robby was killed in the senseless bombing of the Alfred P. Murray Federal
Building in Oklahoma City in April of 1995. And now, a footnote to the story.

Problems

Press of Atlantic City: Home

Check out this link above. This is where my son in law Dan works. This morning it caught on fire. Now he has no idea if he has a job there or if they'll send him somewhere else or if he'll be on unemployment. I hope whatever fire damage there is, isn't major and the guys can repair it quickly. He will find out tomorrow what is going to happen.

As for my grandson Daniel. He is doing so much better. That horrible rash is almost gone. You can barely see it now. The steroids are working great. But there is 1 problem. He has become very aggressive. He is torturing his big sister, hitting people, throwing things. Dan took him outside to play so he doesn't hurt anyone, lol. It is one of the side effects of the steroids. He has 3 more days to take them.

Now as for my grand daughter Marissa. Emma got her registered in school and after all was said and done the school said their school is full and they will have to find another school who can take her into their kindergarten class. They found one and it is 1 1/2 miles from the house. Dan drove to it and checked the mileage. Beings they have 1 car and Dan needs it for work, there is no way Emma can walk that far with 3 kids twice a day to take Marissa to school and pick her up. So Marissa sits home each day waiting patiently to go to school. I suggested to the school official who called to find out if she can attend the school Rebecca goes too. I can pick Marissa up in the morning and take her to school with Rebecca and bring her home afterwards. That is no problem on my part. I would do anything so that child could get an education.

As for Emma she is doing just fine. She is enjoying having another babygirl. And she is very happy Adrianna is now nursing. I on the other hand have a big problem with my new grand daughter. I walk in she is wide awake. I pick her up cuddle her in my arms and 2 seconds later she is sound asleep, grrrrrrrr. It happens everytime I hold her and any other baby, lol. Emma says it's my big boobs, there giant pillows. She's such a stinker, lol.

I just put Jim's dinner in the oven. He is having a stuffed cornish game hen. I made Rebecca and I some Ellio's pizza.  I didn't feel like having a huge meal. Tomorrow I'll make a nice meal. Either Spaghetti and meat sauce, BBQ Porkchops or Chicken Florentine with a bordonaise sauce. I'll decide on that tomorrow. Did I rest this weekend. HAHAHAHA, what is rest? My apartment is trashed, my energy level is low and I just don't have any pep in me. I did clean the livingroom. I'll get to the rest of it during the week. Guess that is about it for now.

Love to all...........Cindy

What a week and pics

I feel as though I have had the life just sucked right out of me. Can we say totally exhausted, like I ran a 100 mile marathon. My body hurts in places I didn't know existed. Even my hair on my head hurts, lol. Seriously it does. It has been a long energy draining week.

Emma is doing great. She is such a strong girl. She has her hands full with 3 kids now, but she is a terrific Mom and I have no doubts she can handle it. Having a c-section and a tubal, then coming home to find her son covered in spots and groin swollen and almost black, taking him to hospital, and school cannot find a close by opening for Marissa. They want to send her 1 1/2 miles to another school. I told them no fricken way, find some place closer. They haven't called back yet.

Rebecca looked much better tonight. The past few nights shes been waking me up 3 to 4 times a night crying. When she woke up at 4:30 this morning so sick, Jim was dressed and out the door to go get her medicine. After I gave her a dose back to bed she went and slept til 8am. I've been giving her alot of fluids and chicken noodle soup also. This kid is really enjoying school. Her first day when I came to pick her up, she asked how come she has to go, lol. She wanted to stay at school. Friday her teacher told me Rebecca is so very intelligent and so well behaved. I asked her if she was talking about the right kid, lol. She mentioned she was glad payday was coming, because the snack cabinet was bare. So friday I handed her 2 one pound boxes of animal crackers for the kids to have for snack. There is now a little spanish girl and a little chinese girl in Rebecca's class. They have become best buddies with Rebecca. They look so cute hanging out together. They sit together in class at the orange table.

I have to admit the lil ones in kindergarten are very protected by their teacher. Her eyes don't leave them. She won't let a child go home with no one unless they are on her pick up list. That child will stay with her until someone on the list comes to get the child, and she does check their ID too. So far things are going smoothly with Rebecca going to school. I still have my fears, but I think all Mom's have them when they send their child to school.

I got through quite a few journals today. If I haven't gotten to yours, don't worry I will. I've had alot going on the past week and it put me behind in everything. Hopefully tomorrow I will be all caught up. I haven't even turned on my im the past few nights. I'm too tired to talk, lol. To all those who im me, I apologize for not having it on. Well, my energy level is about zero right now, so I think it is time to call it a night. Take care everyone and have a great day tomorrow.

Love you all.....................CINDY

EMMA CALLED

EMMA JUST CALLED WITH AN UPDATE ON DANIEL. THE DOCTOR SAID THE HERPES/TARGET RASH CAUSES SWELLING. DANIEL IS FEELING THE FULL EFFECT OF THIS AND ALL IT'S SYMPTOMS. HE IS GIVING DANIEL A DOSE OF STEROIDS, AND A 4 DAY PRESCRIPTION OF STEROIDS. HE SAID TO CONTINUE TO GIVE HIM TYLENOL EVERY 4 HOURS AND COOL BATHS 2 TO 3 TIMES A DAY. AND ALSO DON'T OVER DRESS HIM. RIGHT NOW A DIAPER AND A LIGHT TSHIRT IS BETTER. IF HE IS TOO HOT HE WILL SWEAT AND CAUSE THE RASH TO ITCH. AND MOST OF ALL KEEP HIM INDOORS. HE DOESN'T WANT SUN EXPOSURE GETTING ON THE RASH OR INSECT BITES. THE DOCTOR (A REAL PEDIATRICIAN) NOT SOMEONE JUST LEARNING, TOLD DAN NO MATTER WHAT IF ANYTHING CHANGES BRING DANIEL IN. THAT IS WHY HE IS THERE AND THE HOSPITAL IS THERE.

DAN SAID DANIEL IS SUCH A GOOD BOY FOR THE DOCTOR. HE ANSWERS THE DOCTORS QUESTIONS, LIKE DOES IT HURT HERE OR HURT THERE. THAT'S MY LIL MAN, SMART AS A WHIP. PLEASE CONTINUE TO KEEP DANIEL IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.......CINDY

PS REBECCA KEPT ME UP HALF THE NIGHT. THIS BENEDRYL DOES NOT WORK FOR HER. SHE WOKE UP AT 4:30AM SO CONJESTED AND HAD A FEVER. JIM WENT OUT AND GOT TYLENOL FOR HER FEVER AND ROBITUSSIN CF. I ALREADY SEE AND HEAR A DIFFERENCE. IT'S BREAKING IT UP AND SHE'S ABLE TO COUGH UP THE CONGESTION AND BLOW ALOT FROM HER NOSE. HER NOSE IS PEELING FROM BLOWING IT SO MUCH. I GOT HER PUFF'S TISSUES WITH ALOE AND I BEEN PUTTING NEOSPORIN OINTMENT ON IT. IT LOOKS BETTER.

Update on Daniel

DANIEL HAS BEEN TAKEN BACK TO THE HOSPITAL. I WENT OVER TO EMMA'S TO HOLD MY GRANDBABY ADRIANNA AND DANIEL HAD JUST WOKEN UP FROM A NAP. HE WAS BURNING UP WITH FEVER, HIS LEGS WERE SWOLLEN TWICE THE SIZE AND ALSO HIS FACE. THE FACE IS WHAT WORRIES ME, IT IS SO SWOLLEN HIS EYES LOOK LIKE THEY ARE CLOSING. HE CAN'T WALK OR STAND OR SIT, DUE TO SWELLING BEING SO BAD IN HIS PRIVATE AREA.  I JUST LOOKED AT MY LIL MAN AND SAID, DAN, HOSPITAL NOW. HE SCOOPED UP DANIEL AND OFF TO THE HOSPITAL HE WENT. EMMA IS HOME WITH THE OTHER 2 KIDS, SHE IS VERY SORE AND CAN BARELY MOVE LET ALONE SIT IN A HOSPITAL IN THOSE UNCOMFORTABLE CHAIRS. DAN TOLD HER TO STAY HOME, HE CAN TAKE DANIEL TO THE HOSPITAL HIMSELF. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SAY A PRAYER THAT MY LIL MAN IS OK. I AM SO WORRIED ABOUT HIM.

I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED WHEN I HEAR ANYTHING.

DIAGNOSIS

THIS IS WHAT MY LIL MAN DANIEL WAS DIAGNOSED WITH: IT IS ACTUALLY CALLED  TARGET RASH.

I. Definition:

Erythema multiforme is an allergic reaction with many different causes. It can affect people of all ages and is often more severe in children and young adults. Erythema multiforme often starts as a red rash on the palms, soles, and back of the hands. It can spread to the trunk, face, and mouth in severe cases. Some people only have erythema multiforme in the mouth. As the skin lesions age they often look like small targets with purple to dusky centers surrounded by red rings. The condition can be associated with fever, muscle aches, and not feeling well.

II. Causes:

  • There are many causes of erythema multiforme. These include allergic reactions to viral, bacterial, and fungal infections; sensitivity to food or drugs; immunizations; or sometimes it occurs in association with other disorders.
  • The most common causes of erythema multiforme are Mycoplasma pneumonia, cold sores, herpes of the genitals, and as a reaction to medication (sulfa drugs).
  • Erythema multiforme is not contagious.
  • Some people have recurrent episodes of erythema multiforme, usually due to cold sores or herpes infection.

III. Treatment:

  • A mild cortisone applied directly to the irritated skin areas, colloidal baths, and wet compresses may be helpful to facilitate the clearing of the lesions.
  • The most important treatment is to stop any medication that might be causing your rash. Only stop medicines you have been taking if your doctor tells you to.

IV. Prognosis:

  • The development and clearing of the skin lesions occur in approximately one week, but the rash may continue to appear in certain areas of the body, for as long as two or three weeks.
  • Sometimes erythema multiforme makes people very sick and they have to be monitored in the hospital. If you develop mouth lesions call your doctor immediately.
AND THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE. THIS IS A PIC FROM THE SITE I FOUND, AND IT'S JUST LIKE THIS ALL OVER DANIEL. I THANK GOD IT ISN'T IN HIS MOUTH.

MY POOR LIL MAN. TO HAVE SOMETHING SUCH AS THIS THAT IS SO PAINFUL TO HIS LITTLE BODY JUST BREAKS MY HEART. PLEASE KEEP HIM IN YOUR PRAYERS.

LOVE TO YOU ALL...............CINDY

UPDATE ON DANIEL

I SWEAR I THINK THESE DOCTORS AT THE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL ARE A BUNCH OF QUACKS WHEN IT COMES TO TODDLERS. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME DANIEL HAS BEEN TO CHOP. (CHILDRENS HOSPITAL OF PHILADELPHIA) FIRST TIME THIS RASH WAS DIAGNOSED AS CHICKEN POX, SECOND TIME ALLERGIES, NOW THEIR SAYING IT IS HERPES???? THIS CHILD IS BATHED EVERYDAY, KEPT WITH CLEAN DRY DIAPERS, CLEAN CLOTHES ALWAYS GETTING HIS FACE AND HANDS WASHED AND HE HAS HERPES? I TELL YOU THEIR QUACKS. THE ULTRASOUND SHOWED NOTHING. SO THE DOCTOR SAYS HE HAS HERPES, WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE AND AFTER HE'S CHANGED, GIVE HIM TYLENOL FOR HIS SWOLLEN BLUE TESTICLES AND TAKE HIM HOME. HE IS IN PAIN, IF YOU TOUCH ONE OF THOSE SPOTS HE CRIES IT HURTS, IF HE STANDS OR SITS UP HE SAYS IT HURTS, AND ALL THIS DOCTOR SAID WAS WASH YOUR HANDS AND GIVE HIM TYLENOL? I SWEAR IF SOMETHING IS SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH MY GRANDSON, AND HE IS HOSPITALIZED DUE TO THESE QUACKS, I AM GOING TO HUNT THEM DOCTORS DOWN LIKE A DOG AND CHEW OFF THEIR ARMS, GRRRRRRRRR. BLOOD WORK SHOULD OF BEEN DONE. I DON'T CARE IF HE'S 2 1/2 YRS OLD, IT SHOULD OF BEEN DONE AND THINGS CHECKED. POOR EMMA AND DAN. THEY ARE TOTALLY DRAINED. DAN LOOKS LIKE HE IS ABOUT TO FALL OVER, AND EMMA IS HURTING AND NEEDS TO GO HOME AND LAY DOWN. I JUST KNOW THEY'LL BE UP HALF THE NIGHT WORRYING ABOUT DANIEL, AND TAKING CARE OF THE BABY.

AS FOR ME I AM IN FOR A LONG NIGHT. NOW MY REBECCA IS SICK WITH A STUFFY NOSE. SHE KEEPS WAKING UP EVERY 30 MINUTES COMPLAINING OF HER NOSE. IT'S ALL RED AND EYES ARE RED. I THINK SHE WILL BE MISSING HER FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL TOMORROW IF SHE DOESN'T FEEL BETTER BY MORNING. I'M GONNA RUB SOME VICKS ON HER CHEST AND HOPE THAT WORKS. I TURNED THE AIRCONDITIONING ON IN THE BEDROOM ON LOW. THAT ALWAYS SEEMS TO HELP HER BREATHE. OK VICKS IS ON HER CHEST, I PUT A LIGHT TSHIRT ON HER SO THE VAPORS CAN RISE AND SHE CAN BREATHE IT IN WHILE SLEEPING. GLASS OF ICE WATER WILL BE ON HER NIGHTSTAND. ALONG WITH TISSUES.

I HAVE PICTURES AND A COUPLE 15 SECOND VIDEO'S I MADE OF ADRIANNA TONIGHT. BUT I AM JUST TOO EXHAUSTED TO DOWNLOAD THEM. I WILL TRY TO WORK ON IT TOMORROW, ALONG WITH GETTING TO YOUR JOURNALS. I HAVEN'T DELETED ANY OF THEM, I STILL HAVE THEM. AND I WILL GET TO THEM.

GOOD NIGHT...........CINDY

DANIEL

EMMA JUST CALLED. DANIEL IS GOING TO GET AN ULTRASOUND DONE ON HIS TESTICLES. WHEN THE DOCTOR WAS CHECKING HIS PRIVATE AREAS FOR BLOTHES HE NOTICED DANIELS TESTICLES WERE SEVERELY SWOLLEN AND ALMOST BLUE. HE THEN ORDERED THE ULTRASOUND. THEY WERE NOT LIKE THAT TODAY WHEN I GAVE HIM AN OATMEAL BATH, OR CHANGED HIS DIAPER DURING THE DAY. HE WILL SEE WHAT SHOWS ON THIS ULTRASOUND FIRST BEFORE HE DECIDES ON THE NEXT THING TO DO. DANIEL IS IN ALOT OF PAIN. HE WILL NOT STAND UP OR WALK. HE JUST LAYS THERE CRYING, WANTING MOMMY TO HOLD HIM. EMMA PUT THE PHONE TO HIS EAR SO I COULD TALK TO HIM. I TOLD HIM BE A GOOD BOY AND LET THE DOCTOR MAKE HIM ALL BETTER AND MOMMOM WILL COME OVER AND SEE HIM TOMORROW, HE SAID OK MOMMOM BYE MOMMOM, LOL. EMMA SAID HEARING MY VOICE MADE HIM CALM DOWN AND HE SMILED AND SAID THAT MOMMOM. THEY WILL KEEP ME INFORMED AND I WILL DO THE SAME FOR YOUS WHEN I HEAR ANYTHING. THANK YOU FOR PRAYING FOR MY LIL MAN DANIEL.

I LOVE YOU ALL.....CINDY

School today

Today my baby started school. Right before the bell rang, to line up I took a look around the lot at the kids. I will tell you I wanted to scoop up my little girl and run back to the van and get in and never come back. Those older kids are mean, beat on each other, curse, spit, kick. There was a cop in the back looking on and a security guard. They had no control over those kids. I kept my child next to me until she walked away in line to her class. My heart was racing, a huge lump in my throat and tears were falling. Her last words were, I love you to Mommy, when I yelled Bye Becca, I love you. Man, was that hard letting her walk away. She will be in school from 8:30am to 3:09pm.

So far today I did some grocery shopping. I want to cook a nice dinner. I bought all the fixings for meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, brocolli and a fresh baked loaf of italian bread. Jim will be happy. I haven't cooked in a couple days. In about 20 minutes I will head out and go do laundry. Yep, I am going to attempt it myself today. I'll just have to hurry and remove the clothes from the dryer so the heat don't get to me as much.

I also have to swing by the Rainbow store and get Rebecca a sweater. She needs a dark blue sweater.

Well, that's about it. I'll let you know how her first day went.

Love to all,

CINDY

THANK HEAVEN FOR LITTLE GIRLS

WELCOME TO THE WORLD, ADRIANNA LYNN. BORN THIS DAY AT 8:20AM. SHE WEIGHS 6LBS 8OZ AND IS 20 INCHES LONG. AND AS YOU CAN SEE A FULL HEAD OF BLACK HAIR. SHE LOOKS JUST LIKE EMMA WHEN SHE WAS BORN. I FED HER A BOTTLE CAUSE SHE WOULD NOT CATCH ON TO EMMA FOR BREAST FEEDING, AND I CHANGED A DIAPER. AND YES, I CRIED, DAN CRIED AND EMMA SAID WE'RE BOTH NUTS.

EMMA IS SO TIRED, AND THE PAIN MEDICATION IS MAKING HER VOMIT CONTINUOUSLY. SHE IS GOING TO HAVE THE DOCTOR CHANGE IT TO SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T MAKE HER SO SICK. EMMA CALLED MARISSA TO LET HER KNOW SHE WAS OK. MARISSA MISSED HER MOMMY AND WAS SO WORRIED, AND KEPT ASKING IF MOMMY IS OK. SO EMMA CALMED HER AND ALSO SPOKE TO DANIEL WHO KEPT SAYING ME SISTER MOMMY, LOL. SHE ALSO SPOKE TO REBECCA.

I COULD NOT STOP STARING AT MY NEW GRANDDAUGHTER. SHE IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. AND ALL THAT HAIR, WOW. EMMA AND BABY ARE DOING GREAT, AND EMMA CAN COME HOME THURSDAY IF SHE FEELS UP TO IT, IF NOT SHE'LL BE HOME FRIDAY.

I AM GOING TO REST NOW. I AM EXHAUSTED. THERE IS 53 PICS UP THERE TO LOOK AT.

LOVE TO ALL..........CINDY

Won't be long now

I just got a call from Dan. He said they are giving Emma an epidoral right now. She is in the surgery room, as I type this. And as soon as she is numb, they can begin. I told Dan to call me as soon as it is over, with the details, weight, length, hair, time, toes, fingers, lol. He sounds so nervous. I know he is going to cry on the phone when he calls me to tell me. When Daniel was born he cried for 10 minutes before I could find out any news, lol. Hopefully he calls before I have to leave to go meet with Rebecca's teacher at 9:30 this morning. My heart is racing, I am so excited. I just know I am going to cry when he calls, I have watery eyes right now. I think I will read a journal or two while waiting. I will be back with the update as soon as I know anything.

Love you all..........CINDY aka A Happy MOMMOM!!!!!!

Reason 999

999th reason why I hate Philadelphia. Stupid fricken hospital's where the ob/gyn doctor's are all quitting and going to other hospital's in other states due to malpractice insurance being so high here in the state of Pennsylvania, and local hospital's having to close down their labor and delivery wards. So, I am up this morning at 4:30am, all excited about my new grand daughter coming into the world today. I get to Emma's at 7:50. At 8:05 hospital call's. We don't want you to come today. Be here at 6am tomorrow morning. HUH???????WTH???????? WHY?????? Labor and delivery is very busy. If you come in now you probably won't have baby until 8pm or later tonight. Dan get's on phone. No fricken way, all plans are made, we are coming in. We drive all the way to the hospital. Get up to labor and delivery and are then told, there was 2 emergencies, and 3 trauma's in emergency room and only 1 anesthesiologists on duty. Half the nurses in labor and delivery called out sick, there's no bed for Emma, due to all the birth's today. Everyone in the city having a baby today or what???????? JEEZ. So home we came. No baby, no pictures and my blood pressure is probably through the roof because now I have a dag on migrain with laser light show in eyes. I am starting to think that maybe there's a reason I am not suppose to see the baby the first day or something. Poor Emma, if she has to wait any longer than tomorrow, that girl is going to go off on someone.

Now tomorrow I can't go to the hospital with Dan and Emma. I have to be at the school in the morning to meet Rebecca's teacher. I gave Dan my digital camera so he can take pics for me. And it probably won't be until tomorrow night when I get my camera back. I'm so disappointed, stressed, mad. I hate that hospital. They are the most unorganized hospital in the city and is in the worse part of the city and it's the ugliest hospital I have ever seen. So, it looks like another long wait again, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Angie called me and asked if I was a grandma again yet. Told her nope. I told her I was gonna choke that chinese doctor or bring my gun, lol. I know it's not his fault, or anything, but still he can't figure out something. Like if there is a c-section scheduled later today and it's an elective day like Emma's is, why bump Emma's, she was first, bump someone else's. But nooooooooo, they bump Emma's. I am so glad this is her last baby. Because if I had to go through this again I would be commited to a rubber room wearing a straight jacket. Please pray I don't go insane before tomorrow.

Love to all..........Cindy aka nutcase to be, lol

The Day has arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, the day has arrived and I survived the long week of waiting, lol. In 3 1/2 hours Emma will be at the hospital and will be prepped for her c-section. I will be at her house at 8am to drop Rebecca off, and Emma, Dan and I will head over to the hospital. I cleaned out the memory in my camera, put in fresh batteries, got an extra set to bring along. When I get home I will post pics ASAP. I can't believe it. In just a few short hours I will be holding my sweet baby granddaughter in my arms. I just know I am going to cry. I did with the other grandbabies.

Above is a few pictures of Rebecca's halloween costume I bought the other day. Of course daddy had to get on in the fun, lol. Well, going to cut this short. Have a great day, and I will see you later today.

ADRIANNA LYNN WILL BE BORN TODAY.

LOVE YOU ALL.........................CINDY

I was alone

I think it's fall. Is it? It sure feels like it. I am enjoying every minute of it too. Fall and Spring are my favorite season's of the year. Too warm for airconditioner's, not cold enough for heat. We awakened this morning to rain, dark sky's and alot of wind. But a few hours later the sky cleared and the sun was shining, and a nice breeze blowing outdoors and coming in the windows. It felt great. I enjoyed it.

Jim got home around 1:pm from work. So, I headed out to do some more shopping for school. First stop, Walmart. They had little girls T-shirts on sale, 3pk for 4.88. Sold out of Rebecca's size, grrrrrrrrr. They put more uniforms up, so I looked through them. Nothing in Rebecca's size again, darn it. But I did find a skirt and shirt in Marissa's size, so I got it for her. Now she has 3 set's until Emma can get out to get more, or give me the money and I will go get them. I did find Rebecca another white polo shirt though. Since the night's are cooler and all her warm pajamas are still packed away, I spotted pajamas on sale. 4.88 for tops and 4.88 for bottoms, they were mix and match pajamas. So I bought her a set. There halloween pajamas, but she loves them and wore them to bed tonight.

Isn't she scarey, lol. Well, she thinks she is. I also bought her halloween costume. I won't tell you what it is yet. I will take a pic of her tomorrow and show you. Walmart also had 1 subject notebooks for 10 cents each. I got 10 of them, lol. $1.00 total for 10 notebooks, wow can't beat that. Found 2 outfits for my granddaughter to wear when she's born and home. 2 more days, yesssssssssssssssssss. I dropped off the things I bought Marissa and the baby to her today, and she was so tired, ankles swollen. Home alone with the 2 kids. Dan worked today and has to work tomorrow also. Then he will be off for 3 days.

I also went to the Rainbow store. I had to take back a skirt I bought Rebecca. It was too small. They were having a sale again on uniforms. Instead of 50% off they were now 70% off. So I got Rebecca a skirt, dress and white collar blouse for 14.79. I still have to get her a couple more pair of pants and maybe a couple jogging pants too, and a couple more white blouses and a sweater. I had no luck finding those MaryJane type shoes. But I found them on line at Buster Brown.com. Their leather and 29.99 pr. I will order them next week.

This is what they look like. I love Buster Brown shoes. I use to buy Emma's shoes when she was little at a Buster Brown store in Pleasantville, New Jersey. There shoes were so cute.

Well, I did a little grocery shopping also today and came home and fixed dinner. I made fried porkchops, brocolli and spanish rice. Delicious!!!!! Joe asked what I was doing about dinner and I told him what I was cooking. He said mmmmm, so I invited him up for dinner with us. He ate dinner, said goodnight, and went back downstairs to his house. He said he was going to bed, because he's been putting in 16 to 18 hour days the past couple weeks at work and he is tired. Rebecca and her daddy were in bed by 8:30. I won't be up too much longer either. I am tired, the tylenol I took today is starting to wear off, and my bed is looking very comfy, lol. I have the fan in the bedroom window and it is nice and cool in there.

In a few minutes I will go get washed up and into my pajamas, maybe read a journal or two, then off to bed I go. Jim and Rebecca have asked for pancakes for sunday breakfast, so I better get some sleep. I been up since 6:am this morning.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, and getting some rest. I plan on getting some rest tomorrow, because the rest of the week is going to be crazy.

Love to you all.......................

CINDY

Thank you

REBECCA RECEIVED SO MANY ECARDS FROM ALL OF YOU HERE IN JLAND. SHE SEEN EACH AND EVERYONE OF THEM. SHE LOVED THEM. THANK YOU MY DEAR FRIENDS FOR HELPING IN MAKING HER BIRTHDAY SO SPECIAL. REBECCA SAID TO SAY THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU.

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOX  FROM REBECCA

Past couple Days

I didn't realize I put so many pics above. There is 82 of them, lol. They are of Rebecca's past 6 years. She has grown so fast since she was born. And now in just 4 days she starts kindergarten. I feel so old, lol.

Well let's see. Thursday was a very busy day. Rebecca and I dropped Jim off to work and went to Burger King for Rebecca's birthday breakfast. They were out of ketchup. None at all in the store. Rebecca was so disappointed. I only ordered a sweet tea for myself. They gave me the wrong tea, it was horrible. I didn't even drink it.

We then went to Emma's. After the kids ate breakfast and were dressed we headed to Walmart. It was uniform shopping time for school. They had none for Rebecca. No shirts, no dresses, no skirts, no pants. Nothing. I did not know this at the time but Emma didn't have any money to buy Marissa her school things. She had 30.00 in the bank and Dan would need it for gas for the car to get back and forth to work. So, mommom to the rescue. I got her a dress, pr of pants, 2 shirts, socks, underwear and sneakers, bookbag and crayons, glue, pencils, pencilbox, folder. Next week when Dan gets paid, Marissa will get more uniforms. It made my granddaughter happy and her Mom too for me to get those things for her. The bookbag was a bargain. It was 24.99, but with 70% off. I paid less then 7.50 for it. Then it was off to the Rainbow Childrens store. I found uniforms for Rebecca. Got her 2 pair pants, skirt, dress, 3 white shirts. And at Walmart got her sneakers also. I could not find those MaryJane black dress shoes for either one of the girls. They had 1 pair size 12, but Rebecca is a 1 1/2 and Marissa is a 2 1/2. So a size 12 is a no go. Maybe I can find them on line. After that Rainbow store, we headed up the road to Kmart. But before Kmart across the street was McDonalds. 3 kids and a pregnant woman in van, I was outnumbered, lol. Into Mickey D's we went. 24.68 later their all fed and happy, lol. And yes I got my sweet tea in there, and oh it was so good. I am addicted now, lol. The 3 little ones had their chicken nugget happy meals with juice boxes of applejuice. And of course the toy in each happy meal.

We then headed to Kmart. I wanted to check their shoes and see if they had the MaryJanes, nope they didn't. No uniformsleft either. But in the baby department I spotted a huge sale rack. Couldn't resist, bought 2 outfits, 2 shirts and a pair of pants for a special little girl who just turned 2yrs old. Maybe her mommy will post the pics when she receives the package. I'm a sucker when it comes to little kids, and babies. Wait til my granddaughter is born, lol. By the way 2 more days, yippeeeeeeeeeee. Emma has to be at the hospital at 9:am monday morning. And I am going too. We got a babysitter, wooohoooooooo.

Ok, so after Kmart is was back to Emma's house, sorting through all the bags to get Marissa's things out and carried into the house, unloading the kids from the van. They wanted to play outside, so we locked the gate and all 3 kids played in the yard. I had to sit and rest. I was worn out. The saying, "Shop til you drop". well I shopped got to Emma's and dropped, lol. Emma put Marissa's things away, so they wouldn't get dirty. Daniel was a trip all day. He would not let mommy put him in or take him out of the carseat or shopping carts, or push him in the cart. I had to do it. He'd yell, No, Mommom get me, lol. Do you think he's a mommom's boy, lol?

So when I left Emma's I wasn't done shopping. I had to go to the grocery store also. Had to get dinner and a few other things. I bought a very small 4 serving Carvel icecream cake for dessert. I put 6 candles on it and Jim and I sang Happy Birthday to Rebecca. She was so happy. Her real party is next sunday. She's going around telling everyone she is having a healthy party. Her pinata will have baby carrots and celery in it, lol and her cake will have calcium. I have a strange child, lol. There will not be carrots and celery in the pinata, lol.

Yesterday. I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned and cleaned some more. Did the kitchen, livingroom, bedroom. Rearranged furniture in bedroom, put clothes away. Then had to cook dinner. Macaroni and cheese and a salad. I did not feel like cooking any meat. They ate it and said nothing. They knew better, I was exhausted. Today my plans had to be changed. Jim got called into work this morning for 2 emergency glass jobs. So, I won't make it to the post office today. That will have to wait til tuesday. Monday I'll be at the hospital all day. I have to go back to the rainbow store and exchange the skirt I got for Rebecca. It is too tight. And I have grocery shopping to do. Then I will sit on my butt for the rest of the day. Tomorrow, I am doing nothing. It is my day off.

So there you have it. All I been up too. Oh yea, I did do something to my back. I cannot sit, stand or walk without it getting a ripping feeling. Guess maybe I pulled a muscle. I'm thinking I'll take 2 Tylenol Arthritis today. I think it happened when I picked up Rebecca's dresser and carried it across the room.

Anyways, hope you all have a nice weekend. It was raining here this morning, but it's clearing off. And it's so cool outside. I have all my windows open and the breeze coming in is wonderful.

Love you all..............................

A Special Thank you

Rebecca's Jland Godmother strikes again. Angie this kid was delighted to receive a package from you today. I could not open the big box fast enough for her, lol. When it was finally opened, she tore into that box, grabbing packages so beautifully wrapped in birthday paper. She ripped off the paper and opened each box, saying Wow, mommy look at this. She absolutely loved everything. Butterflies she loves, and the lunchbox was a big hit with the picture of the butterfly on it. She can't wait to start school and take her lunch in the lunchbox and thermos. Wow, the pencils really brought a smile to her face. They have her name on them. So she tells me, mommy no one can take my pencils, cause my name is on them, lol. She wore the pajamas to bed tonight. She said their so soft and comfy. A real big hit was the container of strawberry flavored malted milk balls. She shared them with me, yep she did, she gave me one, lol. Said she had to save the rest for tomorrow. Tomorrow came about 20 minutes later, lol. And Angie, she is blowing you a kiss in one of the pictures. Rebecca said for me to tell you, thank you for her birthday presents. She said everything is just what she always wanted, lol.

When Daddy came home she showed him all her gifts, and told him not to touch anything because he'll get them dirty from work. Then she tells him, I would of shared my strawberry balls with you daddy, but they were so good I ate all of them, lol. I cracked up that was too funny.

Tomorrow after I drop Jim off to work, I am taking Rebecca to Burger King and getting her the breakfast she loves so much. A crescent with scrambled egg and bacon on it, a small bag of tater tots (hashbrowns) and a carton of applejuice.

We will then go to Emma's so she can register Marissa in school. Then I am taking Rebecca out school shopping. It's going to be a long day, but a fun one.

Well, I have about 80 alerts to read, and it's getting late. I'll read a few tonight and over the next couple days I should be caught up. I hope everyone had a great day and has an even better one tomorrow.

Love you all.....................CINDY

Tomorrow I am picking Emma up and taking her to DMV, so she can get an ID card. The school will not let her register Marissa unless her ID has her current address on it. So she will need to get a new one. Wednesday Emma has a doctor appt, then thursday she will register Marissa, and let them know that her stepfather (Dan) will be bringing Marissa to school for the first few days beings she would be in hospital. So that will be taken care of.

Thursday I will be going school shopping for Rebecca's uniforms. I am going to just get about 3 sets for now, and every 2 weeks order more on line from walmart.

Rebecca's teacher called me today. Rebecca and I have an appt next tuesday at 9:30am to meet her teacher. Rebecca is going to be tested on her letters and writing her name. She only knows what capital letters are and she can write her name, but it's sloppy. We practiced for an hour tonight writing and recognizing letters. I am going to practice an hour each day with her until school starts.

In 3 more days it will be Rebecca's 6th birthday. My lil girl is growing up fast. I have put off her party until the weekend after Emma comes home from the hospital. I think instead of the usual italian birthday dinner, I'm gonna do mexican dinner. Soft and hard taco's, fix your own, lol. I'm not standing there making all those taco's, lol. There will be plenty of toppings for the taco's, seasoned meat, shredded cheese, lettuce and tomatoes, green onions, green chile's, sliced olives, sour cream, salsa, refried beans, hot sauce. I'll fix those bisquits with hotdogs and cheese wrapped in them also, just in case someone don't like taco's.

Well, that's it for tonight. I have to get up early, make coffee, pack Jims lunch and get Rebecca and I ready, drop Jim off to work and go to Emmas. I'm worn out, I was up early, before daylight today, babysat until 2:30 today, and cleaned Emma's kitchen again.

7 more Days of waiting

Yep, gotta wait 7 more days. The results of the amnio showed the protein level to be too low, which may or may not affest the baby's lung developement. So the doctor said he does want to wait another week. I was soooooo ready to hold my new grandbaby tomorrow, sniff, sniff. But the doctor knows best, right? I have ultrasound pics from today. Wow my new granddaughter has hair, lol. I will scan them later and put in pregnancy journal.

http://journals.aol.com/emabecmar/MyEmmasPrego/

So now that the baby is due on the 17th, and Marissa starts school on the 19th, Emma will have to hold off registering her until after she is home from the hospital. Beings Dan isn't a court appointed guardian he is not allowed to do the registration. Thats about it. I'll keep you updated.

Amnio/C-Section/Park Scare

I guess I should explain a little more. This is Emma's 4th full term baby. Her first child Michael was born in 1998. He was a stillborn baby. He was a 9lb 5oz, 22inches long baby. The autopsy report said he died of suffocation in the womb, because he was so big and Emma was so small inside. Since then she has been given c-sections and having her babies born 1 to 2 weeks early, to avoid any complications like another stillborn baby. Beings this is Emma's last child her doctor is taking extra special care of her. He informed her that her uterous is really scarred to where it would be dangerous to have a baby vaginally or even another c-section after this one, therefore she is getting a tubal while she is still on the operating table. The amnio is being done to make sure the baby's lungs are fully developed. Emma's actual due date is Sept 29th. They wanted to give her the c-section and tubal on Sept 20th. But her daughter Marissa starts school on the 19th, and Emma doesn't want to miss getting her daughter off to school her first week. So they decided on the 11th. I hope this explanation clears it all up for you and I haven't forgotten anything, lol.

Ok, what I did forget to mention was the scare Rebecca had at the park today. She was playing with 2 little boys and also talking to their mommy and daddy. All of a sudden the ladys eyes rolled back in her head and she fell backwards off the bench and started shaking. The husband screamed, Please some one call 911. Jim took his cellphone out of his pocket and dialed 911 and told them an ambulance was needed and where. Rebecca started crying because she thought this lady was hurt or dieing and she grabbed for her daddy to hold her. Never will you hear my child ask to leave the park, but today she asked, Daddy take me home now please daddy. When she got home she looked so upset. That's when I decided to have her help make cupcakes, so to get her mind off of the park ordeal. I really hope she doesn't have nightmares about what had happened today. She is so sensitive when she see's someone hurt, she'll cry right along with them or for them. Jim said Rebecca was crying on the way home and asking if that lady is going to be ok. He told her she will be taken to the hospital in an ambulance and the doctor will make her better, then he pulled into the store on the way home and bought Rebecca an icecream cone. To a child there's no better cure than icecream, lol. Icecream is definately one of my home remedies for the kids, and me too, lol. In 9 minutes my child is going to bed. I will then fix Jim left over roast beef sandwiches for work and come back to the computer and read your journal entries.

Today ((Sunday))

Today was the Philadelphia Eagles first game of the season. They Lost. I knew they would, they were playing against the Packers. I have to admit the Eagles played a good game, but were beat in the 2 minute warning. Oh well, maybe next game will be better.

Well, there's a couple of cake monsters in my kitchen. I had to take away the trays of cupcakes. The short one (Rebecca) ate a cupcake and the tall one (Jim) ate 3 of them. He swears he didn't, but the wrappers laying next to him and the iciing on his face told another story, lol. Those darn cake monsters, grrrrrrrr.

I have dinner in the oven, and it's making me hungry. I am fixing a roast, gravy, corn on cob, sliced cucumber's. No starch's like pasta or potatoes. They ate enough starch munching on my cakes, lol. There's still about another hour before dinner is ready. I put the roast in late, because I was making those cakes.

Tomorrow my daughter Emma is having her amnio test. She has been informed that if this test causes the slightest distress of any kind to the baby's heart beat or movements, she will immediately be admitted and a c-section given tomorrow instead of tuesday. My nerves have been on edge ever since friday. I am figgiting sitting down, I can't keep busy enough to keep my mind and body calm. I AM A NERVOUS WRECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. Tomorrow morning I have to drop Jim off at work and go straight to Emma's. She and Dan will then leave and go to Albert Einstein hospital for the amnio test. She was told to plan on being there for at least 3 hours. They want to make sure she and the baby are ok before she goes home. After they leave there they will be going to Northeast hospital to pre-register and have blood work done, for tuesday. Then tuesday morning it is back to Emmas after I drop Jim off at work, and Emma and Dan will leave to go have the baby. She'll be home thursday or friday. They only keep you for 2 to 3 days after a c-section then send you home. I can't believe it. In less then 48 hours I'll have another grand daughter. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

It will be raining those 2 days most likely. They say a storm is coming up the coast. I love rain though, we can use it. I enjoy watching a good thunderstorm and rain falling from the sky. There's something about it that is so relaxing to me.

I have 138 emails left and about 70 of them are alerts. I am going to spend a few hours tonight trying to read and comment your journals. Because I know the next week is going to be crazy. I was thinking about turning off the alerts tonight before I go to bed, but then I thought NO WAY, I'd miss hearing about your lives. So the alerts are staying on.

I am keeping my instant messaging off tonight. Sorry, but I have too. Otherwise I will not be able to get caught up with journals. I cannot talk in im and read and comment all at once, it breaks my concentration. Well, I had better go now and put the corn on and slice up the cucumbers. The roast will be done soon, then I can make the gravy from the broth. Have a wonderful evening, and I will keep you updated on what's happening and add pics as soon as I can of the baby.

Love you all...........................

And the big day is...............

I have wonderful news. Guess who is gonna be a Mommom again this coming tuesday September 11th? Meeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Emma went to her doctor appointment this morning, and her doctor Dr. Su, told her he scheduled her c-section for Sept 11th. The only thing that can stop it now is if her protein level is too low. I told her to eat lots of steak, peanuts, baked beans, that way monday when she goes for blood work her protein level will be ok. Emma is so excited, so am I. OMG, I'm getting another grandbaby in just 4 days. WOOOOOHOOOOOO.

There's a good chance I may have to babysit the day Emma goes into the hospital to have the baby. But don't worry. Dan said he will pick up my camera and take lots of pics of the baby, so I can show her off. I'm so happy, I can't stop smiling. I called Jim to tell him he was gonna be a Poppop again and he was thrilled.

Just 4 more days and Adrianna Lynn will come into the world. The doctor checked over the latest ultrasound pics and he swears she has a full head of hair. He said she's about 6lbs 6oz and 19 inches long. But there usually not accurate on that.

IS IT TUESDAY YET, LOL.

Good Morning

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket    I hope everyone had a good night's sleep. I slept ok. I only woke up one time during the night. And this morning I slept til 7:35. I just put a half pot of coffee on to brew. I need caffeine to wake me up so I can tackle this housework today. It's my kitchen. I think every dish, plate, bowl, cup, glass, pot and each piece of silverware is dirty. The sink is filled, stove is covered in dirty dishes, table is totally trashed with anything and everything and the floor is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. It's disgusting in that kitchen and I don't even like going in there. I can only do so much, then I have to rest, otherwise I ache so bad in lower back and legs that I just fall down. I have a very hard time keeping up with housework. It's not because I am lazy, because I am not lazy. Ever since the cancer and surgery, I have more problems now that give me limited use of certain parts of my body. Like my right arm. I am right handed, so now since I have very little use of the right arm I do everything with my left and it takes me alot longer. Say if it takes you 5 minutes to wash one dishpan of dishes, well it takes me at least 15 to 20 minutes. By the time I am done I am holding onto the sink for dear life and have to sit down. So today I'll probably be in that kitchen anywhere from 4 to 5 hours cleaning it. I have to get it done, it's horrible.

Emma and Dan will be dropping off Marissa and Daniel to me around 3 today. Emma has to go have another ultra sound. She has to go to Albert Einstein hospital, and it is a far drive and Emma doesn't know her way. So on these days she goes there, Dan works til 1pm then comes home to take her. He loves seeing the baby on the monitor. Maybe I'll get a good pic this time to share with you all.

Mmmmm, boy is this coffee good. I really need it too, lol. Well, I guess I will get some email read while I enjoy my coffee, then go and tackle my kitchen. Take care and enjoy your day.

Love to all....................
