Daniel's Day of Elmo

DANIEL HAD A GREAT PARTY. ELMO WAS A BIG HIT. HE GOT 4 VIDEO'S OF HIS OWN, AN ELMO MUSIC TOY, AN ELMO RIDING/PUSHING TOY, ELMO MUSICAL BOOK, ELMO OUTFIT, CASH, CARDS, FOOTBALL,BASKETBALL,VOLLEYBALL (ALL SMALL AND SOFT), TRUCK, AND HE GOT A TIGGER THAT DOES CARTWHEELS, GRRRRRRRR THEY HAD TO RUIN THE ELMO THEME HUH, LOL. DANIEL WAS AFRAID OF THAT TIGGER AND CRIED WHEN IT DID A CARTWHEEL, IT SCARED HIM. I TOOK LOTS OF PICTURES, MAYBE I CAN GET ONE POSTED HERE SOON. I'LL WORK ON THAT. HE'S FEELING SO MUCH BETTER. I HAD SOMEONE WHOM I'M GREATFUL TOO GIVE ME SOME ADVICE ON WHAT TO GET DANIEL TO DRINK INSTEAD OF PEDIALYTE WHICH HE DOES'NT LIKE. SHE SAID LIQUILYTE, FRUIT PUNCH FLAVOR. WELL I WENT TO DRUGSTORE, BOUGHT THE POWDER KIND, MADE DANIEL A BOTTLE OF IT, AND HE LOVED IT. HE DRANK ALMOST THE ENTIRE 6 OUNCES. WE WERE ALL SO HAPPY HE DID THAT. NOW I'M HOME RESTING AT COMPUTER, IT'S THE ONLY PLACE I CAN SIT COMFORTABLY. I HATE MY LIVINGROOM FURNITURE, IT'S HARD ON MY BACK WITH ALL THOSE SOFT PILLOWS. ANYWAYS, HAD A GREAT DAY!!!!! EVERYONE HAD A VERY GOOD TIME. ENJOY YOUR EVENING ALL. PS. CAN'T WAIT TIL SATURDAY, GOING TO SPEND MY NIECE'S BIRTHDAY WITH HER AND SPEND SOME TIME WITH MY SISTER SUSAN. My Lil Man Daniel/Circus

Daniel is doing much better, finally. He has been able to eat oatmeal today twice and keep it down. I am so happy he can do that. He won't drink the pedialyte but he is drinking water and a little deluted milk. He's smiling some again and that makes me very happy. His little smile is precious, he loves showing his teeth when he does so.

Had an awesome time at the circus. The looks on Rebecca and Marissa's faces were the best. Their little eyes lit up, and they were cheering and clapping, shouting yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, woooooooooohoooooooooooooooooooo. We got their pictures taken sitting on a giant black fake Gorilla. I'm gonna have to get it scanned by someone so I can post it. Good thing I brought my credit card, cause between the snacks, drinks and pictures, I put 70.00 on that card, shhhhh don't tell hubby, lol. I would love to go again. We had the best time. It felt good to laugh for a change and spend time with 3 of my favorite girls,(my daughter's Emma, Rebecca, and granddaughter Marissa. I get to spend some time with my little sister Susan this coming weekend. Her daughter S is having a birthday party. I can't wait to see them all. We don't get together very often, but when we do I love the time with them. And I will get to meet her cousin Donna/LadyCapricorn finally. Circus Today!!!!!!!

Daniel is still not feeling well. He's keeping fluids in until he gets to crying, then he makes himself sick. Poor lil man, I sure do hope he feels better real soon. He won't eat anything except these puffed fruit things made by Gerber, but that's just a few pieces he'll eat of it. He wants milk but everytime he has some he throws it up. He's not liking the pedialyte. He'd rather have just water, which he also gets. He'll be home with Daddy today. My oldest daughter and I are taking Rebecca and Marissa to the circus today. They are so excited about it. Hope Daniel feels better tomorrow, cause he's having a birthday party. I made him an Elmo cake. He loves Elmo. I bought him an Elmo toy and 4 video's, 2 of Elmo, 1 of Barney and 1 of Teletubbies. They are his favorite shows. Guess ya know the theme of his party is also Elmo, lol.

My 4 year old Rebecca has politely fixed herself a snack of peanutbutter and ritz crackers. I swear she'd eat it right out of the jar with a spoon if I let her. She loves peanutbutter sandwiches too, no jelly though. She will not eat jelly. Well, that's about all there is to post. I'll let you know how Daniel is doing and how the circus was later today. Update on Daniel

I walked to the store this morning and on my way back my daughter called. They spent the whole night at the hospital. He was diagnosed with a gastro intestinal virus. My daughter Emma and her fiance Dan were told to keep giving the baby pedialyte and tylenol. There was really nothing much more that could be done. So 6:am this morning they came home. Daniel slept for 4 hours, and woke up looking better. I went over to Emma and Dans and stayed until 2:30 this afternoon. Around 12:30 Daniel did'nt look good at all. He was crying, cheeks got red as apples and he had diareha again, like water. He's not peeing alot, and he's throwing up again. I think we can look forward to another trip to the ER later today. He has'nt got a fever, even though his cheeks are red. I just called my daughter and she says Daniel fell asleep. When he wakes she'll give him some more pedialyte, if he can keep it down and wets his diaper that will be a good sign. Please continue to pray for my lil man.

On another note my Lane Bryant order came today. I am so happy it arrived. I had ordered a blouse and nightgown for myself, and also ordered a blouse and nightgown for Dan's mom whom my 4yr old and my grandchildren call Grandma. I am called Mommom. Dan's mom Liz is 75 yrs old and the mother of 10 children (all boys), yes you read it right, she has 10 son's. She married an italian man, lol. Dan is the youngest. Got the pictures back today of the 3 little one's (rebecca, marissa, and daniel dressed up in their easter clothes. What sweethearts they are, oops did i say that, yikes, lol. I call the two 4yr olds hurricane rebecca and typhoon marissa. Those 2 girls can walk into an empty room, and i mean empty room nothing in it at all and make a huge mess, lol. Then tell you they did'nt do it, Mr. Nobody did it!!!!!! It'll be nice when Mr. Nobody gets a couple years older and can clean up their own mess, lol. I'll keep you posted on Daniel.

No word on my grandson yet. I really hate the waiting thing, when it comes to matters like this. But either he's ok and they are home and it was too late to call me, or their still at the hospital. I'm hoping and praying it's that their home and my lil man is ok. Lil man is what I call my grandson Daniel. One day I will have a picture to add to this journal. But right now I'm still trying to figure out the little things of building a journal. But I'll learn, it may take me a while though. It's only 7:30am, too early for me to call my daughter, just in case their home sleeping. I would'nt want to wake Daniel. I will just have to sit here and wait until she calls me. Lord give me the strength to do so!!!! I will go now, and as soon as I know anything I will post here in my journal. Thank you everyone for your prayers, it really means alot.

 

 

 

My Grandson Daniel

My 1 year old grandson Daniel is in need of prayer. My daughter just called me to tell me they are on their way to Philadelphia's Children Hospital. Daniel it seems has taken a turn for the worse. He went from walking around in his walker today and drinking a little milk, to just laying down and not crying or making a sound of any kind and just staring at his mommy and daddy. That is not like him to do that, there must be something wrong. He's usually smiling, walking in his walker saying dada or mommom. Please say a prayer for him. I lost a grandson on Dec 17, 1998, his name was Michael Joseph, I can't lose lil Daniel.

My Dentist appointment

Well, 18 exrays taken and a check-up and I'm told the entire top row of teeth are in need of removal. On the bottom he wants to try to save 9 teeth, good luck, lol. But he says bottom denture plates are hard to get used to cause of less suction to hold them in. Is'nt that what poligrip is for? Oh, well, so now on May 2 I go see an oral surgeon and have a panaramic picture taken of my mouth and discuss when or if something can be done. Well, duhhhhhh the teeth are bad, remove the suckers!! LOL. I was told I would be walking around with no teeth for 2 to 3 months before dentures could be put in. Guess that means no Steak or Corn on the Cob for me! Just pass me the jarred babyfood please, lol. Anyways this is gonna be a costly project. My insurance will pay only 1500.00, so that will help cover the cost of the oral surgeon, my daughter EmmaJean gave me 1000.00 to use to help the cost in my dental work. And as it looks now I still need a little over 1500.00. Where is the affordable denture insurance? Do ya think those dentures in the bubble gum machines would work. They only cost a quarter, lol. Called my hubby Jim and told him what they said and how much it would cost. He was'nt at all surprised or upset about it. His words were, "well hun you need to have it done so your not in so much pain all the time." What a nice thing for him to say, guess that's why I love him so much. Been married to him for over 27 years now. Wow!!!! I stopped over my daughter's house before we came home. My poor little grandson Daniel is so sick with a stomach virus. I checked him over, he had no fever, and was keeping down food finally. All he wanted was to be cuddled in my arms and rocked. He's such a sweetheart. On the way home my daughter took me to the nearby deli where I bought some cold cuts and rolls, and 2 icecream cones. One for Rebecca and one for my granddaughter Marissa. She'll be surprised when her Mommy gives it to her. Saturday EmmaJean and I are taking the girls to the Barnum and Bailey Circus. They are gonna love it, we hope. Well, guess that's about all there is that happened today so far. It's nice to be able to write this all and have people write me back. Thank you everyone for caring enough to do so. You are truely good people. My sister Susie of the Strawberry Patch sent me a link to check out so I can add pictures to my journal. She is the best and I love her dearly. Good Morning!!!

Good Morning World!!!!!!!! I just got up about 15 minutes ago. Was able to watch the last few minutes of my morning show called Walker, Texas Ranger. I love that show. Well, going to the dentist today, to hear what I hope will be some good news about getting dentures. I'm so tired of the pain that accompanies my teeth. Right side of my face is swollen this morning all the way up to the bottom of my eye. I hope it's just from my teeth and nothing else. Finally got a good nights sleep last night. I have'nt had a restful night in gosh over a year now, maybe 2 years. Sometimes it's hard for me to sleep with the surgery I had. When they removed the 4 tumors and 4 lympnodes from my neck, they cut me from behind my right ear clear around to the front of my throat. When I get stressed out I get a horrible stinging sensation and feel like I can't breathe at times. Only thing that helps that is to go to bed, so I can relax. But I can't always do that, not with a 4 year old running around. Well, I tackled the horror in my kitchen last night that I made cooking dinner, lol. Actually was'nt too bad. Had it all cleaned up in about 15 minutes. I hate waking up in the morning to a big mess and a sink full of dishes. I wish I had a dishwasher, but I don't. Someday I'm hoping I will. Well, my Rebecca has just informed me that she's hungry, so I'd better get to fixing her some breakfast. Coming to an end

Well, dinner is over and I can say it was tasty. Our friend Joe, who lives in the house below us was over for dinner. He is Rebecca's godfather. We've known him for over 15 years now. Now all that's left is the cleanup. Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's the part I hate, lol. Hubby, Jim came home very tired tonight. Also in pain, guess he is getting the arthritis that runs in his family. He's feeling ok right now, he took one of my percosets. Rebecca is making a meal of the bread I baked. She's on her third slice now with lots of butter. Talked with my daughter EmmaJean earlier. She's gonna go to dentist with me tomorrow. Thank you all who sent commto my journal. It will be nice getting to know everyone. My sister Susan is terrific. Not only is she beautiful, loving and caring, but she's a good friend too. I love her very much. She has herself a very nice hubby and 2 beautiful girls. Well, I'm gonna relax for a while, then tackle the horror I made in the kitchen cooking dinner, lol. At 9:pm Rebecca will go to bed, and hubby and I can enjoy the quiet. Another Day.......

Another day of cleaning. My kitchen floor needed it badly. Word of advice, never have white tile on kitchen floor, lol. I also managed to bake a loaf of bread today. It is much better then store bought, well that's my opinion anyways. Got an oven stuffer chicken in oven, and yes it's stuffed with a homemade dressing. Hubby's nose will be a sniffing when he comes in door tonight home from work, lol. Made an appointment to the dentist today. All that chemo last year has totally ruined the teeth in my mouth. So, I've decided to have them all extracted and get dentures. Yeah, no more toothaches for me afterwards. Well, My sister has one of these journals, and it looks like she has alot of fun with it, so I'm trying my luck at it. It'll keep me off the online games at times, lol.
