I just wanted to let you know about Joe's Mom. After tests were done, they found out she was severely dehydrated. She forgets she has to drink at least 12 bottles of water a day and sometimes forgets to eat. Bt being dehydrated her blood pressure went up real high and she felt like she was having a heart attack. They are keeping her overnight and pumping her full of fluids through an IV. If all goes well, she may be released tomorrow. Joe is considering having his Mom move in with him. Right now she lives with her daughter, son in law and 2 grandsons. No one is home all day to keep an eye on her to make sure she is eatting and drinking. Anyways thank you all for your prayers for Mommom I.
I am going to bed now. I am exhausted.
Love ya all, CINDY

So happy she is okay. I think Joe would take good care of his mom. The daughter must be to busy or else her mother wouldn't be in this condition and yes I blame her Mommom I lives with them so that makes them responsible. Glad to hear things are going well and she's getting better.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Chrissie
Water the elixer of life. I am glad she's ok.

Dehydration is such a big problem with the elderly. They just don't feel thirsty. And they need to be reminded. I can't tell you how many people I've taken care of for that. I'm glad she's doing better.
ReplyDeleteLove ya,
Pam
Thanks for the update Cindy. A lot old folks are like that get quite dehydrated..friend in church was the same, and although we kept telling her she wouldn't believe us....until she was admitted to hospital and the Dr.s there frightened the life out of her !! now she is great campaigner for drinking...water !!.. Hope you take time to rest today. Love Sybil x
