Ok, before I make an entry of my lovely day yesterday, I wanted to post this recipe. It's a great snack or lunch or make for a party. I've made them and wow, they are great.
Pizza rollups
1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed 1 cup prepared pasta sauce
1/2 cup shredded mozzerella cheese 1 Tbl Olive oil
2 Tbl finely chopped pepperonni 2 Tbl Parmesan cheese
1) Preheat oven to 450 degree's. Generously coat a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.
2) Roll out dough to a 10 inch square on a floured surface. Spread 1/4 cup pasta sauce over dough.Take 2Tbl mozzerella cheese and set aside, sprinkle remaining mozzerella over sauce. Top with pepperonni. Roll dough jelly roll style to enclose filling.
3) Cut roll into 10 slices. Place slices flat on baking sheet. brush tops with olive oil. Sprinkle with mozzerella and parmesan cheeses.
4) Bake until golden brown, about 12 to 15 minutes. Place on plater around small bowl with remaining pasta sauce for dipping.
