Sleepover cancelled

Well, the sleepover is cancelled. Rebecca had went to bed at 8:pm, and Marissa wasn't coming until 9:pm, so there wasn't much sense in a sleepover tonight. We'll have it tomorow night, maybe. Jim just text messaged me. Said there at the cabin, and it looks ok. They lit the kerosene heater, and oil lamps and are having a pizza right now that they picked up at the store before going up the mountain to the cabin.

Brrrrrrr, I just closed my livingroom window. It is chilly in here tonight. I put warm jammies on Rebecca. She is forever kicking her covers off at night.

Well, my grand daughter will be 5 years old on tuesday. The girls are growing up fast. I haven't seen Daniel in a week. I miss my lil man. I think tomorrow when Emma brings Marissa over, I'll ask her to bring Daniel also, so I can see him. I miss his big smile when he see's my pepsi or cell phone, lol.

Well, I was planning on making smoked sausage, scalloped potatoe's, and broccoli for dinner tonight, but since it was just Rebecca and I here, I didn't make it. I asked her what she wanted for dinner. She said, I think I'll have some scrambled eggs with ham in it, cause I just love it mommy. So we ate breakfast for dinner, lol. Scarmbled eggs with diced ham added to it and toast. She cleaned her plate too. Then Miss smarty pants says now we can have dinner for breakfast, lol. She come's up with the cutest things to say sometimes. After dinner we sat at the kitchen table and colored, then it was jammie time, brush teeth and go nite nite. She fell straight to sleep. I just went in and checked on her, cover's hanging off the bed and she's curled up in a fetal position like she is cold, lol. So now she's covered up again.

Well, I guess I will go now and get my jammies on, make a cup of tea and relax and read some journal alert's of your journal's.

My Saturday

                                      

Good afternooon everyone. I am enjoying a little peace and quiet right now, until tonight. My grand daughter is coming over to spend the night. So I know Jim and I are in for it with Marissa and Rebecca's wanting to stay up all night talking. Last time, it was about 1:am when they finally went to sleep. It was a longggggggggggg night, lol. I went to FOOD BASICS and did my grocery shopping. I had exactly 105.25 in my purse, I spent 105.18, and now I have a whole 7 cents left over, lol. But my cabinets, fridge and freezer are full, so we don't need to worry about food for a while. They had some awesome bargains today. I bought a package of porchops, there was nine porkchops in this pack, i devided it into 3 meals. The package was 3.98 with a 1.50 coupon on the package for 1.50 off, so I got that package of 9 porkchops for 2.48. Can you believe that? I showed Jim my receipt and he was like, wow hun you did good!! I got a 3lb package of 80% lean ground beef for 2.18. Bought 2 very nice thick steaks, perfect for the grill or broiler, one was 1.38 the other 1.47. Got lots and lots of fresh veggies and fruit. I was darn proud of myself today. When I got home I called him on the cellphone to come downstairs and help me unload the car, just then Joe came out his door and he helped too, after all he does have dinner with us a few times a week, lol. Let me tell you they were worn out and had to rest a few minutes after carrying all that food in.

                                     

Gonna make me a pot of tea soon. I love my tea. Coffee is ok, and I love it, but tea is and has been my favorite. Hot or iced, it don't matter, I love both.

                                       

The girls are in for a treat tonight after dinner. I bought them some sugar free ice cream. But shhhhhhhhhh, they don't need to know that it's sugar free, lol. We don't need the added jet fuel to them. They'll enjoy that treat. Emma has Marissa on a strict diet, so I try to keep treats sugar free. Sometimes we just pop some popcorn for a snack. But beings I got a half gallon of mint chocolate chip sugar free ice cream for 98 cents, I thought they'd enjoy that more.

                                         

On my drive to the grocery store I had to admire the scenery, even though the traffic was bad. The leaves are all changing color and falling off the tree's, flower bed's that were once full of color are now turning brown and withered. I seen alot of houses already decorated for halloween. Some with those giant lit up cloth lawn ornaments with the blower motors in them to keep them inflated. Those things are really nice, but I won't have them, I think they cost too much.

                             

Well, I guess I should get off this computer now for a while, and do some oraganizing in my kitchen. And figure out what I am making for dinner. Something quick and easy I suppose, because shopping always gives me a back ache, and right now I have a doozey of a back ache. Cup of that hot tea and a couple tylenol and I will be just fine.

By the way Jim installed thenew hard drive, and wow do I have alot of space to fill up now, lol. I joked around with him and said, well I can fill it up quick with pogo and Jland, lol. He gave me that evil eye, one eyebrow up his forehead look. I am such a tease, lol. But hey he loves me, or at least he better after almost 28 years of marriage, right? Right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is out with Joe this afternoon. Their taking the boat out of the water today. And I think tomorrow their driving up to the pocono's to secure the cabin for the winter.

Shhhhhhhh, it's quiet now

                                                 

It is so quiet here right now. Jim and Rebecca are asleep for the night. The only sounds are the filter's in the turtle tank and the tv. I have a movie on right now on the Lifetime channel, called Gracie's Choice. It's about a teenager who's mother is arrested for drugs and this teenager does everything in her power to keep her brother's together as a family. It is a very good movie so far.

I cooked a nice hot meal tonight, which Jim gobbled right up. Roast chicken stuffed with homemade stuffing, mashed potato's and gravy, baked yams and peas. He ate so much he was too tired to sit up and watch television, so he went to bed, lol. He's been working the past 3 days with his friend. They've been painting and sanding. Jim is so sore.

                                       

He's gonna be working on my computer this weekend. Installing a bigger hard drive. Our's he says is a 40, and he's putting in a 120, whatever that means. He's says I'm filling up the memory space, lol. Maybe so, but so what!!!! LOL. He built this computer piece by piece and programmed it also, so he must know what he's doing. The new hard drive was given to us as a gift, which I thought was so nice. Tomorrow I am going grocery shopping. I have 100.00 to do that. Instead of going to one of the more expensive stores, I will go to one called FOOD BASICS. You get name brand items for a discount price. Like those cans of Franco American Spaghettio's that are 1.19 in the grocery store, well FOOD BASICS has the same size can of Franco American spaghettio's for 59 cents. They have large fresh baked loaves of soft italian bread for 69 cents. XLarge eggs, 59 cents a dozen. I love this store. The produce is fantastic, cucumbers are like 6 for 1.00, bell peppers are 69 cents a pound, tomatoe's are 79 cents a pound. Brocolli is 39 cents for a big fat bunch. I can get alot for 100.00 there. Last time I was there, I got a huge pack of nice thick cut pork chops for less than 3.00 for the whole pack, now that was a bargain in itself.

                                 

Who was the next person on the traveling necklace game again, after LisaJo? I don't think I know the next person and have their journal link. I am trying to keep up with it and know how everyone else is enjoying the necklace game.

                                   

You can tell summer is over. It was so chilly outside today. I actually went around closing the windows. Drank a whole pot of hot coffee myself. I haven't done that in a while. While I was having the chemo and radiation treatments I couldn't even try to drink coffee or smell it, cause it made me so sick. Of course I lost my sense of taste for quite a while and everything I ate or drank had no flavor. I had to pour italian dressing on my food just to let myself know I had eatten. I could taste vinegar and nothing else.

                                  

I just found out tonight I was chosen for one of the guest editor's pic's. Wow, I am so honored. Thank you so much, Nelishia for the honor and the wonderful comment about me. I feel so blessed right now. What a wonderful community we have here in Jland.

                                     

Happy Dancing here in PA for sure. Happy to of found all you wonderful, caring, loving people. When I'm upset I always feel so much better after paying a visit here in Jland. Thank you everyone, thank you for making me feel so welcome in your community. Well, I'd better go now, it's getting late and this chair is killing my back, lol.
