Just thought I would drop in and write a bit today. I have my granddaughter here for the day. So she and Rebecca are having a great time playing. I just got back from a walk with them. We had a nice time. I stopped at the deli up the street and bought them each an icecream sandwich, which they thought was just the greatest thing. Their sitting here on the rug watching cartoons and having their icecream. It's a good thing we went for our walk already, because the sky isn't looking too pretty right now. Weather alert says high winds and heavy rains later today and into tomorrow. But as long as it isn't snow, I don't mind the rain. In a little bit I will fix the girl's some lunch. They are asking for a grilled cheese sandwich, and a bowl of tomato soup. They like to dip their grilled cheese in the soup, lol. I do the same thing. Tonight for dinner I am making Jim a special surprise. I haven't made these in awhile so he will definately be surprised. I am making stuffed porkchops. Stuffed with a cornbread stuffing. Making baked potato's and corn on cob and a fresh green salad also. I think he'll be happy when I hand him his dinner. Yes, I make his plate for him, I always have. And no, I don't cut up his meat for him, lol. it just makes me feel good to make him a dinner plate and see his face when he see's what I have made for him. I packed him lunch today. He was shocked when I handed him his lunch case. He smiled and said, wow thanks hun. He dropped off his pay to me this morning. I set some aside for Joe towards the rent, and Dan came over and picked up my deposit and went to the bank for me. That money will be to pay a bill today. The next 2 paychecks I will get caught up on bills and everything should be back to normal after that, I hope. I think it will be though.
Well, I guess there isn't much more to write about at the moment. I'm gonna go fix the girls some lunch, and put them down for a rest. Then I think I will write a couple of letters I have been meaning to write. So take care and hope your all having a wonderful day.
Cindy

Hello Cindy,
ReplyDeleteGlad that Rebecca and Marissa are getting a chance to play together. Kyan loves ice cream sandwiches, but usually I go to the grocery and get a box of miniture ones since that's all he'll eat. The big ones go to waste. LOL my kids do the same thing dip their grill cheese in the soup. I'm the only one here that doesn't like tomato soup. Yummy, yummy dinner for Jim sounds wonderful. I love baked potatoes I could make a meal outta a big one. So happy that things are getting back on track again. Wow snail mail... I have a few of those I need to do, but haven't had time yet. Tomorrow I need to phone my sister and tell her hello before she disowns me. I think she called about two weeks ago and left me a message. YIKES where did the time go.
Take care, Chrissie

Ran across your journal thru a friend of mine. I too, had hodgkins a few years ago. i was pregnant with my son at the time they found it. I waited until he was born to start treatment. just thought I would say hello and introduce myself.
