My Thanksgiving

I'm getting pretty bad in keeping up here and with other's blogs and I am so very sorry about that. It seems like something is always going on and I can't get to the computer. Anyways, I will try to get caught up this week, when the girls go back to school.
My thanksgiving was nice. Just a small family dinner with Dan's mom attending. None of his brother's wanted to come. But we had a big dinner. I fixed a 20lb turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, baked yams, green beans, cranberry sauce, coleslaw, and we had pumpkin pie with cool whip afterwards. I was so tired after dinner, I put the kids to bed and layed down myself at 8pm. I woke up at 2am and stayed up til 6:30am. Emma and I were going to go shopping at 4am, but she looked so peaceful sleeping, I didn't wake her. Instead we went shopping at noon at Target. My gosh was is crowded. Emma and I sat and had lunch first. We hadn't eatten and I was pretty hungry. So for 5.49 each we got a combo of 20oz drink, personnel pan pizza and 3 breadsticks with dipping sauce from the pizza hut there. I must say it was excellent too. So afterwards we start shopping. I bought Rebecca a Barbie VTech Laptop, scooter, giant horse and a huge doll that goes with it. She still wants barbies and socks. I read her letter to santa, lol. She asked for socks, lol. I'll get her all kinds of colors in them. So, I'm shopping away, and all of a sudden I hear a bunch of yelling and people are running. Then I hear my daughter Emma yelling......Mom. So I turn towards her and she is yelling stay there mom, don't move, and she comes over to me. She said there was a fight in the stuffed toy isle. Two women were beating each other up with their purses and throwing each other down, one of the women was bleeding. What were they fighting about? ELMO!!!!!!!!!!! One of the women wouldn't move so the other could get the doll and someone grabbed it. Needless to say no one got to keep their shopping carts of purchases they wanted to make, because both women were escorted out of the store. Emma and I finished our shopping and left.
Well, dinner is just about ready, but the coffee is done now, so in I go to get me a cup before Emma says it's ready. Take care, enjoy your week.

Gotta love this one, lol

EXERCISE FOR PEOPLE OVER 40> Begin by standing on a comfortable surface where you haveplenty of room at each side. With a 5-lb. potato sack in eachhand, extend your arms straight out from your sides, and holdthem there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, andthen relax. Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just abit longer. After a couple weeks, move up to 10-lb. potato sacks. Then try 50-lb.potato sacks. Then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb. potato sack in each hand, and hold your arms straight for
morethan a full minute. (I'm at this level.) After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of thesacks.

Life goes on

It's been almost 2 weeks since I wrote here? I'd better get you all updated huh. Well, let's see. Dan spent 8 days in the hospital, and let me tell you those 8 days were so worth it. He is so much better. He found out all his pain and suicidal thoughts were caused from the medication he is on. They switched his doses, gave him stronger pain meds and he is a new man. He still is in pain, but instead of pain level being a 10, it's down to a 2, which is great. He now takes 20mg oxycodone 4 to 6 times a day, and a morphine pill 4 to 6 times a day. He can't lift, run, jog or anything like that, but he walks better. The kids are so glad he is home, especially Daniel. He had a hard time the first few days adjusting to not having his daddy tuck him in at night. So, it was mommom to the rescue. I printed out a pic of Dan, taped it next to Daniel's bed and every night he'd kiss daddy's picture and say I love you daddy, sweet dreams. I swear that lil boy melts my heart. We have nasty colds going around now. Marissa had one last week, and missed a day of school due to it, now this week the baby has got herself a real doozey of a cold and I think Emma is coming down with a cold now too. The baby and Emma are both sleeping right now. Jim and Dan are out to breakfast along with the girls and Daniel. It is daddy daughter day on sundays. Rebecca wanted Daniel to go too, so the 5 of them are at the Clown House having breakfast. I love that place. You order a big breakfast for $5.95 and you get 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, fried potatoes, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 slices of toast, glass orange juice and coffee. One of thos big breakfast will feed all 3 of the kids.
Well, the lady who hit my van is already driving around with her van fixed. Where's my van? In the shop still. Why? Cause we're waiting for her insurance company to issue the check for 1189.00 to the body shop so I can go pick up my van. It has been done for a week now. I have called and called GEICO to see what the hold up is and all I get is someones voice mail. Tomorrow the bodyshop is calling them. All I know is I better get my van back real soon, because now I'm starting to get upset.
The girls got their school pics back, and might I say they are so cute. I will scan them so I can show them to you later today. Emma doesn't get Marissa's pics done in school uniform, but I do. I want to see the uniform styles as each year passes. I've had to have Dan's mom fix Rebecca's uniforms. Her's were so big on her now that she's lost so much weight. She was 73 lbs now she is 61 lbs. She lost it because she isn't cooped up in a tiny apartment anymore. Here she has lots of room to run and play and their isn't a dozen or more snacks a day cause she was eatting out of boredom. I want to watch her now though. I don't want her losing anymore weight. Well, I now have all my health insurance cards, so tomorrow is the big day of making appointments. I always forget some of my symptoms when I get into doctor's office, so this time I wrote them all down, all 18 of the things that I have noticed wrong lately. Yes, 18 things wrong, that is not a good thing and I will be yelled at by all of my doctor's. The only part I hate about going is having to get the blood work done. Ever since the chemo my veins actually hurt and I do mean hurt. They collasp, explode. The only good vein is deep in the elbow bend of my right arm and man does it hurt when they try to get that needle in there to get blood. Well the family is back, so I'd better go. Hope everyone has a great holiday next week.

MY SIL

I come here tonight worried. Yesterday my SIL was admitted into a mental hospital. Dan has not been himself since the fall last December and lately his mental health has gotten worse. He was talking suicide, and says the walls are bleeding, that blood is pouring down the walls. My Emma had no other choice but to call their lawyer and together with the doctor they had Dan admitted. He is in there under suicide watch. Emma knows one of Dan's older brothers (Howard) hung himself, so she wants to make sure Dan doesn't try anything. I have been praying about this since yesterday. Could you please send up a prayer or good thought for Dan. I haven't had much sleep the past week, so I am pretty tired. I promise to get to your blogs as soon as I can.

GOD BLESS.........................CINDY

LOL

A man in Jacksonville calls his son in San Diego the day before Thanksgiving and says, 'I hate to ruin your day, but I have to tell you that your mother and I are divorcing; forty-five years of misery is enough. 'Pop, what are you talking about?' the shocked son replies. We can't stand the sight of each other any longer,' the father says. 'We're sick of each other, and I'm sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in Denver and tell her.' Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone. 'Like heck they're getting divorced,' she shouts, 'I'll take care of this.' She calls Jacksonville immediately, and screams at her father, 'You are NOT getting divorced. Don't do a single thing until I get there. I'm calling my brother back, and we'll both be there tomorrow. Until then, don't do a thing, DO YOU HEAR ME?' and hangs up. Dad hangs up and turns to his wife. 'Okay,' he says, 'they're coming for Thanksgiving and paying their own way.'

Thank you Poppop Bill!!!!!!

One of my dreams has come true.

It has been a while since I last posted. Life here has been so busy lately. Then I have to fight with everyone to get off the computer so I can use it. I've also been ill with a bad case of bronchitis. I've coughed so much I pulled muscles in my chest. I really hate being sick. All the kids were down with colds, so I expect they passed them on to me. We had to get a new keyboard. The old one was gross and the keys were sticking. Things are actually now slightly normal around here, that is if there is a normal, lol.

We finally got our insurance cards. I am so glad. Monday I will be on the phone making my appointments to my family doctor, cancer doctor and dentist. I'll get yelled at by all of them, lol. It'll be lots of blood work, most likely another petscan, and more teeth pulled, wooohoooooo I can't wait, NOT, lol.

My van goes into the shop on monday. The lady who hit my van caused 1189.00 in damages. I can see how she hit it though. It was very foggy, thick fog, and her defoggers hadn't done the job they should of done.

Ok, now I have to tell you what I have been doing. It has always been a dream of mine to become a minister. So for the past few month's I have really been getting into i, reading up on it, learning my bible all over again. And I am happy to announce that as of yesterday November 7, 2008, I am now an ordained minister. I feel so good about it. I cannot wait to get started. Well, Jim said for me to et ready he is taking me to staples. Above is my cards I ordered. Well, I'm getting the "Aren't you ready yet look", so I'd better go now. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'll be reading some blogs tonight after the kids go to bed.
Love,
Cindy
