Thank you

HE'S OK. BANGED UP AND BRUISED, BUT EVERYTHING IS STILL IN PLACE AND NO FURTHER DAMAGE WAS DONE. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS. I KNOW IT IS BECAUSE OF THOSE PRAYERS DAN IS OK.

LOVE YA,

CINDY

PICS OF PARTY COMING LATER TONIGHT.

UPDATE

THE AMBULANCE REFUSED TO TAKE DAN TO MAGEE OR JEFFERSON HOSPITAL. SICE THEY ARE A CITY AMBULANCE AND NOT A PRIVATE AMBULANCE IT IS THEIR CHOICE. SO DAN WAS BROUGHT HOME. HE WAS NOT HOME MORE THEN 20 MINUTES BEFORE HE WENT DOWNHILL. HIS BACK STARTED REALLY BAD SPASMS, HE LOOKED WHITE IN COLOR, HIS HANDS WERE SHAKING AND HE STARTED MUMBLING, " I CAN'T MOVE." EMMA CALLED 911. WHETHER HE LIKES IT OR NOT HE'S GOING TO THE HOSPITAL DOWN THE STREET FROM ME. SO FAR XRAYS WERE TAKEN, AND ULTRASOUND GIVEN AND NOW THEY WANT TO DO A CAT SCAN. HE'LL BE THERE FOR A FEW MORE HOURS, BECAUSE THIS HOSPITAL IS THE SLOWEST I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO. THERE ISN'T MUCH MORE TO TELL AT THIS POINT, BUT I WILL LET YOU KNOW ANYTHING I FIND OUT. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR PRAYERS.

LOVE YA.........................CINDY

This cannot be happening!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS MORNING DAN'S DRIVER PICKED HIM UP TO TAKE HIM TO THERAPY. ON THE WAY TO HIS APPOINTMENT A TRACTOR TRAILER HIT DAN'S DRIVERS CAR. THEY WERE SPUN AROUND BUMPED, THUMPED, YOU NAME IT. DAN SAYS HE IS OK, BUT HE HAS JUST GONE THROUGH MAJOR SURGERY AND HAS SCREWS IN HIS SPINAL CORD. DAN AND HIS DRIVER STEVE ARE WAITING FOR THE AMBULANCE TO ARRIVE TO TRANSPORT THEM BOTH TO THE HOSPITAL. PLEASE SAY A PRAYER THAT DAN IS RIGHT AND HE AND HIS DRIVER ARE OK. THE TRACTOR TRAILER DRIVER IS AT FAULT.

SATURDAY, EMMA AND DAN GET A LETTER FROM POSTOFFICE SAYING THE CHANGE OF ADDRESS IS COMPLETE. wHAT CHANGE OF ADDRESS DAN AND EMMA ARE THINKING. SOMEONE PUT A CHANGE OF ADDRESS IN ON EMMA AND DAN, AND THAT'S WHY THEY HAVEN'T GOTTEN MAIL IN DAYS. WHICH MEANS DANIEL NEVER GOT BIRTHDAY CARDS FROM FAMILY AND DAN'S WORKMANS COMP CHECK ISN'T COMING EITHER. EMMA IS WAITING FOR ME TO GET THERE AND SHE IS GOING TO POST OFFICE AND FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON. I WILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS. I MUST GO NOW.

Hello Everyone

I just wanted to give you all a little update. Rebecca is still sick. Her fever went as high as 103.8. It's been coming and going the past 36 hours. I checked it 30 minutes ago and it was 99.0. She has hardly eatten anything, except chicken broth, iced water and frozen popsicles. I bought Jr. Tylenol for ages 6 to 11. They are meltaway tablets for fever. Well, I will never buy them again. TOTAL GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!! Her fever never went down, only up taking those damned things. So I went and bought Children's liquid Tylenol. I can always depend on that item. I just wish her cough would go away and her appetite was better. At least she is getting fluids though. If she's not better by monday, then off to the doctor's we go. I have had about 2 hours sleep a night the last 3 days watching my child sleep, making sure she is ok. She wants to go to bed now. I am going to post this but will return to it after she is tucked in and write some more in it. So keep it as new mail if you read it before iI write more in it ok.

BRB..............Cindy

Ok, I am back. My poor baby is so tired. I hope she sleeps through the night and feels better tomorrow. She'll miss out on so much fun tomorrow if she is sick. I have so much to do tonight. I need to bake a tray of homemade Foccacia bread, and my tomato mixture to go on top of it. And I have to make an orange, glazed Bundt cake. Tomorrow I have the baked Ziti to make along with a crock pot of sauce, meatballs and sausage. Jim is going to cook chicken and hotdogs out on the grill. Oh and I am going to make a veggie salad. That should be enough food, I hope. Plus there's an Carvel Icecream cake.

I am slowly getting to your journals. I will read a few more tonight and catch up with the rest tomorrow night hopefully. Please keep Rebecca in your prayers and also please say a prayer for Linda Bradbury. She is back in the hospital again. Also say a little prayer for the 58yr old woman who was run over and killed by a dump truck and driver the other morning. They still have not found the man or the truck. The accident happened 2 blocks from my house. I could see it from my kitchen window. A witness said the truck hit the woman knocking her down then ran right over her, killing her.

Well, I best get off of here a bit and get my food started for tomorrow. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Welcome home Jeanne, get some rest girlfriend.

Love ya all..........................CINDY

Good Morning. I just want to stop by and let you all know I will not be around much over the next few days. There's a few reason's why, by 2 are, it's my grandson's 3rd birthday and I'll be doing lots of cooking, baking for his party sunday. Yes, I'll have lots of pics. And the second reason is Rebecca is very sick. Diareha, throwing up and very high fevers have taken over her body. Yesterday she woke up to 103.3 fever. All day it was down a point, up 2 points. Whens she went to bed last night her fever was down to 99.6. At 3am this morning she woke up very thirsty. I took her temperature again and it was 103.8. It's 101.6 right now. She'll be staying home from school today again. She's not happy about it.

If you would please say a prayer for Rebecca. I hate it when she's so sick.

Hello Everyone.

Well, here I am. I finally made it to my journal to make an entry. Jim left to go do the laundry. Rebecca just had a cinnamon raison bagel and now she is parked infront of the tv. She's watching a show on Mickey Mouse Play house.

The past few days it has been sunny and in the mid 80's, today it is cloudy and only suppose to go up to 67. If the rain stays away until late this afternoon we might go to Berlin Auction. I'm looking for a shelf type thingy that'll give me more storage space in kitchen and maybe even more counter space.

Well, let's see, about my week. It was a long one. 5 days at the school, 4 days homeschooling Marissa, because on friday I took her to school with Rebecca and I. Marissa loves going to school with Rebecca. We had a few mishaps in the class during the week. Boys hitting each other, one boy hit 2 girls, a girl picked another girl up who was half her size and then threw her on the floor. Then we have the cryers, who don't wanna even be in class, and there's 4 boys and 1 girl that can cry all day. Then we have the sleepers, who come to school and go to sleep as soon as they eat breakfast. Tuesday after Rebecca had violin practice, I stayed for a Home School meeting. Flyers were sent out to all the parents but only 3 of us showed up. It was all about idea's for fund raisers for the school, and how to make the school safer. I mentioned how the parents park right up on the sidewalk giving less room for the kids to walk and also how a lady backed up on sidewalk and hit me in left hip doing so. We're going to see about the city getting a No Parking sign put up. On thursday before I went back to the school I stopped at Dunkin Donuts and bought 100 donut hole munchkins for the kids. They ate everyone of them. I remember they use to be 50 for 1.99, now it's 50 for 5.99. But the smiles on their little faces and all the thank you Miss Cindy's I got and even some hugs too made it all worth it.

This week I have a project I am going to do with the kids. We're are going to plant marigolds in cups, and watch them grow in class, and then on mother's day the kids can make cards for their mom and take the card and flower they planted home to their mom. On wednesday while the teacher went up to copy some papers, I had the kids all sit on the rug and I read them the story, Stone Soup. They all sat so quiet and listened to the story. I have always liked that story myself. I have some pictures I want to show you, but I will do that later today in another entry.

I best get busy and do something. I read 15 journals this morning. Gonna go read a couple more and take a break for a little while. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Love ya,

My Dream or was it?

I wasn't going to write about this, but it's really bothering me, and I cannot stop thinking about it. Dreams usually don't bother me, unless I dream someone dies or is hurt. Like when my niece was about ready to have her first child. I had a dream she died on the delivery table. She didn't, but 12 days after giving birth to her son, she died. I had a dream my Dad was shot and killed, a week later he was found floating in the creek face down in the water. They said it was accidental. I DO NOT BELIEVE IT. My father was scared of water. He didn't even get into a bathtub or shower. He stood at kitchen sink with a pan of hot soapy water and a washcloth and that's how he washed himself. But this dream I had earlier this week has really thrown me for a loop. I have so many questions running through my head, that I can't think straight.I think it has been the cause of my not being able to sleep the past few nights. I am not going to use their names. Only first name initial. It is how I will show my respect to my sister. Yes, my sister. This dream is about my baby sister who went to heaven last year. She had her journal here called Strawberry Shortcake, but left jland. God I miss her so much.

The dreams starts out where I am awakened by the scent of strawberries. When I opened my eyes I was at Susie's MIL's house. There were adults walking around, little children playing and laughing. I did not see my niece's S or E, or my BIL M. Adults would walk by me not even noticing I was there. Some I met when we went to my niece S birthday party there, some I never met before. All of a sudden a little a little boy came up to me and said hey I know you, then he ran off. There was something about that little boy that was very familiar. It was like I knew him, but I didn't know him. A minute or so later he returned holding hands with my nieces S and E. They looked up at me and said, Mommy? And gave me the biggest hug, said they loved me and missed me and where have I been. They said Mommy your beautiful, your so skinney, and how come your shining like a light. I looked around and next to me was a mirror hanging on the wall. I looked into the mirror and it was not me that I saw. It was my sister Susie. I had become her. I was her, at least in the dream? Those beautiful little girls, so happy to see their mommy asking so many questions. Slowly a strange feeling came over me, and a second later I was standingwatching my beautiful sister hug and kiss her girls, telling them she was ok. She was happy and she loved them, and to be good for daddy. Be good girls in school and study hard. And one day when it was time they would see her again and always be together. She told them to go play and have lots of fun. And everytime they smelled a strawberry it was mommy blowing them kisses. As she was saying this I felt a hand touch mine. It was the little boy again. He put his hand into mine and held it tight. He said don't worry, she's ok she's happy up there, I'm happy up there. I was so confused, I asked what do you mean your happy up there? He says, Don't worry, I'm happy, everyone there is happy. Then he said I have to go now, he's calling us back. I yelled Wait, who are you? And his last words were, I love you Mommom. I knew then who it was. Why he was so familiar to me. He was my first grandchild, my first grandson. And his name was Michael Joseph. He was familiar because he looked just like his mommy, my daughter Emma. In a flash he was gone. I looked around the room and so was Susie gone. Two people I loved dearly came to visit me that night and in a flash were gone. I sat up quickly in bed, looking around to see where I was and I was in my own bedroom. Jim asleep by my side and Rebecca sleeping so peacefully in her bed. I got up, poured myself a glass of pepsi. I was shaking. Was that a dream? Because it sure didn't feel like it. It felt like I was actually there. I could smell all the scents of food cooking, people's perfume, and I could smell the scent of strawberries very strongly. What was this dream about? Why dream it now. Why come to me in my sleep? So many questions I have. Or am I just to the point where I am losing my mind or having a nervous breakdown? Why did it seem so real?

A question keeps going through my mind. Should I write my BIL and tell him about this dream? A part of me wants too, but yet another part says don't do it. I don't know what to do or think about this. Got any suggestions or advice? I'd appreciate some.

Love to all.................

What does it mean?

Well, I'll tell ya what it means. It means all the low life graffiti writing drug selling hoodlums are indoors. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! See the patch of storms over Philadelphia? Well that is almost over, but look whats coming behind it, yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, I love a good storm. I know I'll sleep good tonight. I always do when it rains and thunders. I just hope when it does storm it doesn't wake Rebecca up, because she doesn't like storms. Jim just went off to bed. He's really tired. Or maybe just old, lol. Shhhhhhhh don't tell him I said that. He thinks he has the energy of a 30 year old. Yea right, I wish, lol. More like 90, lol.

Well, what am I doing over the weekend. I guess I'll clean my apartment, and maybe bake some bread. Well, I hear thunder in a distance, so I guess other storm is coming. Take care and have a great weekend.

Computer/Violin

Good evening everyone. Just thought I'd share a few pics of my baby girl with you all. The first two, yep she's on the computer. She can spend hours at a time on it, leaving me to go through withdrawl symptoms cause I'm not able to be on it when she is, lol. The next ones are from music class today. Sorry they are so dark, but the lighting in the auditorium is awful and even with the flash from my camera they still come up dark. We were told today that their first concert is in 5 weeks. They will be playing with the 1, 2, 3 graders. I don't know the title of the music they'll be playing. Rebecca's class will be playing the e and a (beginning the song). It will go like this:

a a a a    e e e e    a a a a    e e e e   a a    e e     e e    a a

e e e e    a a a a    e e e e    a a a a    e e   a a      a a    e e.

It sounds really good when their playing it. I am going to make a video of them playing it the day of the concert. I will post it for you all to see.

This child has surprised me. I did not think she would want to stick with it, but she actually likes it. At the end of the school year we must return the violin because we are just renting it, so I am going to have to buy her a violin of her own soon. I want her to continue playing it. And I'll need to find someone to continue to teach her. So my search begins for a violin.

Tomorrow I am taking the day off from school. My baby granddaughter is going to that mean old doctor's and getting needles. I will sit at Emma's and babysit Marissa and Daniel, while Dan and Emma take the baby to her doctor. I have to remember to print out some coloring pages for Daniel, so when I am homeschooling Marissa in the morning, he'll have something to do so he's not bored. This is so cute, I have to share it with you. This morning I am schooling Marissa and he hears me say, now 1 + 1 = 2. Well, a couple minutes later he comes up to me and says, Mommom 1 + 1 = 2, I'm smart now so I can go to preschool tomorrow. He was serious about it too. I laughed because he's just so darn cute when he's serious. And when I was leaving today, he hugged me and said Mommom don't go, I'll never see you again. I hugged him and told him mommom would be back tomorrow and I'll bring him a surprise, which is the coloring pages and some homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Well, I guess that's about it for tonight. I will get a longer entry in soon. I've just been tired and very busy. Hope all is well with everyone, and your week so far has been a great one.

Love to all..........................CINDY

Mother/Daughter

I know it's 4:30am and here I sit on the computer. But I woke up to use potty and Jim isn't here. But neither is the dirty laundry, so I know where he is. LOL. He likes to go to the laundry mat early when no one is in there. He'll come home and go back to bed for a couple hours, then get up for breakfast. This morning it is Spam and eggs, hashbrowns and toast, coffee. Later today we're going to my daughter Emma's for dinner. She's making a spiral ham for dinner.

Yesterday Rebecca and I went to Emma's because the girl's (Rebecca and Marissa) wanted to play. They played outside for hours with bubbles and sidewalk chalk. Dan told Emma and I if we needed to go out we could. HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!! We took him up on that offer, lol. Get out just the 2 of us and no kids, OH YEA!!!!!!!!!!!! So in my van we went and headed to Walmart. I bought Jim a pack of twin blade razors for when he shaves his head. Why he decided to go completely bald, I don't know. But it seems to be the in thing now here in philly with all his friends and co-workers. I also bought laundry soap, 2 white shirts for Rebecca for school and a shirt for me that was all on clearance. Rebecca's were 2.87 each and mine was 5.44. Emma bought a 40 piece silverware set, and summer outfits for Daniel and Marissa, 2 sets each and she also got laundry soap. As we're leaving Walmart she says Mom, I'm hungry, let's go have lunch. Hmmm, I was hungry beings I didn't eat breakfast, so we decided on Pizza Hut. We got the salad bar special, personal pan pizza's and breadsticks. I had iced tea (Raspberry flavor, yummy) and Emma had a Pepsi. We sat there and talked, ate our lunch and just enjoyed having a mother/daughter day out, which we had'nt had in so long. Emma thanked me for taking her out. She said she really needed it after what she saw the otherday that really upset her and she now knows she needs counciling. Their friend Chaz let them use his jeep for a couple days until his parents came to get it. Chaz signed himself in a detox center for alcohol and percoset abuse. When Dan had that fall off the building, his clothes were cut off him at the hospital and placed in a bag. They gave them to Chaz beings he was the one who went to hospital with Dan. He put them in back of Jeep and left them there. Well, the other day Emma cleaned out Chaz's jeep from all the fast food lunches, and all he has had, and when she picked up a plastic bag it ripped and out fell Dan's clothes he had on the day of the accident. She picked up the clothes, put them in another bag, but she broke down doing this. She started crying hard, shaking, heart racing, sweating, and in her head all she kept seeing was Dan falling over and over again. I didn't realize how much this affected her until now. I agree, she does need counciling, she was also traumatized when Dan was hurt. The only thing is, their insurance will only pay for inpatient therapy for her and not outpatient. So if she goes for therapy, it means I will be going over there to stay with Dan and the kids for the week she is gone. Which is ok, I will do anything for my kids and grandkids.

But anyways, we had a nice day out. We both needed it. Dan said the kids were no trouble at all. Which is good because he still has alot of pain getting up and down and moving around. But he did it and made them lunch of macaroni and cheese. As a gesture of being thankful we were able to go out, we brought him back a sausage and green pepper personal pan pizza and ya should of seen the smile on his face, lol. Emma made a pot of coffee and we sat the 3 of us and had coffee, then Rebecca and I came home and I fixed porkchops, saurkraut and mashed potatoes for supper. Jim was in heaven, he loves that.

Today I will clean up a little in my apartment and head over to Emma's around 2pm and enjoy spending time with everyone. Tomorrow starts a whole new week with home schooling Marissa and going to the school. Did I mention Rebecca's class and 3 other kindergarten classes are going to Philadelphia Zoo next month? Finally a school trip. I am already on the list to go with them. And yes I am taking the camera with me, lol. And extra batteries too.

I guess I will go now. I hope everyone has a great sunday. I know mine will be. Dinner at Emma's and a phone call I have to make at 4pm. That will make it a perfect day.

Love ya.............................CINDY

Pics and etc.

I've been having so many problems getting pics in an entry, hopefully they stay this time, grrrrrrrrr. Well, I have been trying to get to all your journals. I wish there was more hours in the day. The week so far has been fun. Last saturday we took Rebecca, Marissa and Daniel to that park that looks like a castle. They loved it. We were there almost 3 1/2 hours. Then on sunday Jim, Rebecca and Joe went up to the cabin. Yesssssssss, I had some alone time. Then monday came along and it was back to school. UGH!!!!!!!! Spring break just went too fast. The school has been so out of control lately. I found out a couple days ago a 12yr old girl in the school was raped in the gym and now she is pregnant. Fights all week long in the higher grade classes, riots after school in the streets blocking traffic. The police have to patrol a 4 block radius around the school now due to all the fighting. And Rebecca's teacher said it will get worse as the weather gets warmer. This is definately Rebecca's first and last year in this school.

Marissa is doing so well in her homeschooling. I now have her at the same level as Rebecca's class. She will be ready for first grade come September.

Did you see the picture of Adrianna's bad hair day? Well, her hair grows so fast only in those 3 spots, behind each ear and on top of her head, lol. When she's nursing or drinking a bottle she likes to play with the sides of her hair.

It's raining here now. Suppose to last through the weekend. I'm not complaining though. I'd rather it rain then snow. I'll be glad when it's warm enough and I can open my windows.

I am so glad tomorrow is friday. I am tired. 5 days a week with 27 kids is alot to handle. Plus all the driving I do, back and forth to Emma's everyday, homeschooling Marissa, going to school with Rebecca, cleaning the classroom after school, running my errands, then coming home helping Rebecca with her homework and her 100 book challenge. So far she has read 64 out of 100 books for homework. When she reaches 100 she will get a certificate for a free personal pan pizza and a soda at Pizza Hut.

Well the 11 o'clock news is on and I want to watch it. I never get to watch it unless I get up an hour before everyone in the morning. I hope everyone is doing well and you have a great weekend.
