Yep more pics and some exciting news for me.

Good evening. Just thought I'd stop by a while before i go to bed. I've been up since 3:30 this morning. That's what happens when I go to bed early. Bit last night I felt so horrible I had to go to bed. I'm feeling a little better right now. Sinus's are burning anymore. I still have this awful cough, which I think has caused me to pull muscles in chest and ribs. Throat hurts a little when I swollow, but been gargling with warm salty water, so that's helping. Rebecca says her throat her scratchy. I been giving her lozenges, and I put a glass of water on her stand next to her bed. I filled her sippie cup with ice and added a little water so it'll be cold for her. I just hate it when one of my kids is sick. Or one of my grandkids. As sick as Rebecca is my lil girl helped me clean the livingroom and the bedroom today. I was so proud of her. I rewarded her with a cup of hot chocolate. She loved that treat.

I'm glad your enjoying the pictures of my family I been posting. As you can tell, I do love my family very much. My family means more to me then anything else in this world. I try to be there for them when they need me, and I would do just about anything for them if I could. They are my life, and what keeps me going each and everyday. Without them I would be lost. Anyways Here's a few more pics for you to see. I have some more to scan but I am just too tired to do so tonight.

Here is Rebecca, Marissa and Daniel all done up looking so cute for Dan's Mom's 75th birthday last July. Daniel was not at all happy about being in that tuxedo. He's happy just running around in his diaper, lol.

My daughter Emma and her husband Dan. I think they look adorable. Emma was trying to keep herself from laughing because Dan hated that hat, and she wanted him to wear it. I guess you can tell who won, lol.

Man, I love these 2 babies. My precious grandchildren. They can really melt my heart. The next 2 pics are my grandbabies taken separately. Emma had a hard time getting Daniel off of the antique style bike. That child loved it.

Well, there you go, more pics of my precious family. Loves of my life they are. My grand daughter Marissa is taking a trip in a couple weeks. She is going to Virginia to my sister Lucys house for a week. Marissa is so excited about it, and so is my sister Lucy. Rebecca will miss Marissa but Daniel will keep her company. That lil boy loves Rebecca. He's forever calling for her yelling BECCA. And when she goes up to him he gives her a hug. Well, I guess that's about it for now. Hope your all enjoying your evening, week, vacation, lol.

Oh, I got some exciting news. I am going to meet a fellow JLander next month. I am so excited about it. We're going to meet at Berlin Auction in New Jersey. I can't wait to meet her. And for her to meet my hubby, and Rebecca and Marissa and Daniel too.  I will be meeting CANDLEJMR. Is it March yet? lol

Well I will go for now. News is on and I want to check out the weather report. This morning I heard on the news there has been 60 murders already here in Philadelphia for 2007. Man, I hope I find a place to move to soon and get out of this city. Take care everyone.

Still feeling crappy

Good Morning! I am going to try to make an entry today. I feel so crappy still. I can't sleep, I'm coughing and sneezing, and my eyes are watery and burning and now I have an ear ache. I can't taste anything. And my body is so full of aches and pains I have noidea where to pinpoint them at. Rebecca doesn't seem to have it as bad as I do. Maybe her childrens Tylenol Cold works better then my Robitussin? Well, I hope I'm not boring you with all my family pics. My sister has emailed me a bunch more. If ya wanna see them keep reading, lol. I don't think I'll be able to get all of them in this entry, but I'll get as much as I can in for you to see. OK, you ready?

This is Chewy, my sister's Chihuahua. I can't figure out if he's singing, dancing or modeling his new shirt, lol.

This is Anthony, my great-nephew. He's such a cutie.

This is Anthony's Daddy Danny. Danny and my niece Donna have been together for quite a few years. Danny needs to get down on bended knee with that ring Donna so wants and ask her to marry him. Hint hint, ya here me Danny. Danny is a very hard worker, and provides a good home for my niece and their son. He's a good man and I am very happy he is in Donna's life.

This young lady is my niece Jenny. Wow she really blossomed since I last seen her. My sister Lucy sure has some beautiful daughters. Jenny was my buddy when she was younger. She was always with me. One summer I kept her for the entire summer, spoiled her rotten yes I did. Spent 600.00 on clothes, shoes, toys on her. She went to work with me, and when the customer left, I'd clear the table of the dishes and she'd wash it and keep the tip, lol. I didn't mind though, she was so good when I had her there with me. Everyone loved her.

This is Jenny when she was just a little baby. She was so adorable. Always smiling.

Jenny and her little brother Eric. Yes they were lil devils at that age, lol.

This is my niece Sharon. And her boyfriend Ricky and their son lil Ricky. Sharon and Ricky are expecting their second baby in May. This one is a girl. Their naming her Jacqueline Louise. I think that name is so beautiful. Louise is the middle name of Lucy's daughter Sandy who passed away a few years ago.

This is lil Ricky as a ghost this past Halloween. He's so adorable, I think he looks just like his daddy.

My niece Donna got this tatoo in memory of her sister Sandy, with Sandys initials put over it. I think that was a wonderful thing to do in memory of her sister.

This cutie is Summer Lee. She is the daughter of Lucys son Steven.

This is Jim and I when we lived in virginia. We were suppose to be dancing, but beings I was 7mos pregnant, and so tired, I think Jim was holding me up more then we were dancing. Look at my face, yea I was tired, lol.

If there's a place around that has karoake, my sister will find it, lol.

She's really into singing this song huh. You go girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My sister Lucy years ago standing near one of her saddles for her horses she had. She sold them years ago.

This crazy man is my sister's good friend Pete. He was in a Halloween contest and won second place. Go Pimp Daddy, lol. Pete is also the one who is teaching my sister how to use her scanner. Good job Pete, your a good teachercause she scanned and emailed me this pic of you, lol.

Well, there ya go. More pics of my family and all. Hope I didn't bore you to death, lol. I know I'll have alot more to show you. Lucy is really into using her  scanner now. She's at work right now, but when she gets home she'll be looking for this entry, and emailing me more pics. Here that sis? Get to scanning woman, lol. Well, guess I will get dressed, make a cup of green tea and maybe do some housework today. I have done nothing for days now. Been to sick to even move around. But it has to be done today. Take care all, keep warm, and hope spring arrives soon.

Sunday, February 25, 2007

Well, old man winter showed his ugly face again. I layed down to take a nap while chicken I stuffed was in oven and when I woke up this is what I saw, from kitchen window.

Look at those big flakes, and it was mixed in with ice too. While I was sleeping, Jim took this next pic from livingroom window. He should of opened the window like I do, lol.

I'll take a better pic of it in morning. Well, my sister Lucy has learned the fine art of scanning pics and emailing them to me. I have her permission to add them to my journal. This first one is my oldest niece Donna with her son Anthony. I love this pic. I am going to enlarge it and print it out and frame it. The background is just beautiful.

Isn't she pretty? I have baby pics of her around. One of them is my favorite. Where she is wearing a sweater set my Aunt Helen made. Donna looked like a babydoll when she was born, so tiny. I think Anthony looks like his mommy but also his daddy. Donna is my sister Lucys daughter. This next pic is of my sister Lucys son Steven. He's a big boy and strong too.

I happen to think he's a very handsome young man. Ok now this next pic, I really like. It is of my sister Lucy on Halloween. She looks so real in her costume. I'm gonna enlarge this one too, lol. She really went all out on this costume.

Hmmm I wonder if she can whip up a potion to make this nasty head cold/sinus infection go away, lol. You look great Lou, I love this pic. Ok, I wasn't gonna put this pic in here for reasons kown to Lucy and I but I will be nice and do it for her. This is my sister and her boyfriend Joe. They been together on and off now for a few years.

Well there ya go, Lucy and a few members of her family. She's gonna take recent pics of her kids and grandkids and send them to me and I will share them with you. Sometime this week I will have a pic of my mother a few months before she died of cervical cancer at age 32 holding my brother Paul when he was just a little baby. And a more recent pic of Paul as he looks now.

So far we've gotten 2 inches of snow here in Philly, and now it is freezing rain coming down. Gonna be a big mess in the morning for sure. There already posting school closings and school delays on the news. I won't be going no where tomorrow. Staying indoors. Besides with this nasty cold I have I would be better off indoors. My Rebecca has it too. We both have watery itchy eyes, stuffed nosed, burning sinus's, and a scratchy throat. I'm drinking green tea right now. The hot tea feels good on my throat. Gonna make Rebecca a cup tomorrow morning. Well, guess that's about it. Hope your all safe indoors and warm from this storm.

Visit to Helens

Yesterday was a nice day. I cooked my spaghetti dinner. Everyone enjoyed it. Rebecca and Daniel had a great time playing with Little Bug. That dog is such a good dog. Helen was so tired when she came home from work, she changed out of her waittress uniform and sat down with a cup of coffee, actually she had 3 cups lol. Having the 2 lil ones there made her feel so much better. She is so worried about the test results. I told her the hardest part is waiting. I added pics from her home yesterday. I used aol, alot easier for so many pics. But one pic I kept out cause I wanted to see it in entry. Last christmas, Helens son Ronnie Jr asked his mom what she'd like for christmas. She told him, well I would like a picture of my 4 son's all together. So christmas morning as Helen and Ron unwrapped their gifts they were handed a big wrapped box, in the box was 2 framed pics, 10x13 and an 5x7 both frames were beautiful. The pic in each frame were her son's all together. They got together and went to JC Penny's and had their group pic taken. Helen and Ron loved that gift. Here is a pic of her son's. And man they got so big and so handsome too.

Ronnie Jr top left is 20    Andrew top right is 14    Chris bottom left is 17 and Brian bottom right is 19. And all the boys are taller then Helen and Ron, but still listen to their Mom and Dad. They know better, lol.

Well remember when I said I felt drained of energy for 2 days but thought it was from no sugar? Wrong!!!!!!!!!!! Half way through the day yesterday I started feeling crappy, runny nose, sinus's burning, sore throat, yep I am sick, grrrrrrrrr, and the worse part is Rebecca has it too. We had to go to CVS last night on the way home for med's for Rebecca and I. Hope it don't last long, I hate being sick. Gonna go, my sister Lucy is waiting very impatiently for me to make this entry so she can see these pics, lol. Hope you all have a nice sunday.

We're expecting a nasty winter storm today into tomorrow morning. Grrrrrrrr, where's spring?

LAST ENTRY FOR TONIGHT

Just wanted to add these tonight before I go to bed. Not a long entry, because I am tired, and the sandman is calling me big time, lol. I put captions under the pics to let you know what it is.

GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE.

LOVE TO ALL...........................CINDY

More pics

I have peace and quiet now. Rebecca is fast asleep and Jim just went off to bed. I put away the meatballs and sausage I cooked tonight to take to my sister Helen's tomorrow for when I make spaghetti. I have some more pictures to share with you. This first one is my husband Jim when he was in the army. I wonder why they aren't allowed to smile in their military pics.

Check out those glasses he has on. Gosh I hated those things. I was so glad when he got wire frames, lol. This next pic is of Rebecca having cake and icecream for her first birthday. Even at 1yr old this kid loved spongebob, as you can see was the theme of her party, lol.

Yep I think she was enjoying it too, lol. In an earlier entry i posted a pic of me when I caught that trout. Well, these next 2 pics will prove who the best fisherman is, cause those sardines they caught got nothing on my fish, lol.

Here is Jim showing off that sardine, lol. Mine's bigger, sure is. And here's Joe showing off his sardine. Yep mines bigger than his fish too, lol.

This next pic is of my brother Paul, can't really see him so well, but he's the one I talk about, when I mention my SIL to be Nancy. Red hair and blue eyes he has.

And I have permission from Nancy to put a pic of her in my journal. She is the sweetest person. We've known each other for more then 11yrs now. I can't wait for her to become Paul's wife.

Nancy also has a journal called "desires". You can go to it by clicking on desires on my side bar. In her journal she talks about her hopes and dreams of her life with Paul and of her family.

This next pic is my dad. He came to Rebecca's 1st birthday party, and yes he wore a party hat too, lol. And of course he gave her a very noisey toy, lol I gave it to Daniel recently, he loved it. But as for his mommy and daddy, I don't think they like it, oh well it ain't there's, it's my grandson's, lol.

Rest in peace Dad   5/25/37 to 9/4/05

I have 4 more pics to add, but I'd better save them cause they may not fit here in this entry. I'll add them in another entry. Right now I am going to upload the pics of the things I got at our thrift store the other day. Hope you all enjoy the pics. And also want to wish you all a very nice weekend.

A nice story to share

  This is a good story. . . .

Our dog Abbey died Aug 23, and the day after Abbey died, my 4 year
old, Meredith, was SO upset. She wanted to write a letter to God so
that God would recognize Abbey in heaven. She told me what to write,
and I did

Then she put 2 pictures of Abbey in the envelope. We addressed it to
God in Heaven, put two stamps on it (because, as she said, it could be
a long Way to heaven). We put our return address on it, and I let her
put it in the drop box at the post office that afternoon.
She was absolutely sure that letter would get to heaven, and I wasn't
about to disillusion her.

So today is Labor Day. We took the kids to the museum in Austin, and
when we came home, there was a package wrapped in gold on our front
porch. It was addressed to Mer. So, she took it inside and opened
it.

Inside was a book, When Your Pet Dies, by Mr. Rogers (Fred Rogers).
On the front cover was the letter we had written to God, in its
envelope (opened). On the opposite page was one of the pictures of
Abbey taped on the page. On the back page was the other picture of
Abbey, and this handwritten note on pink paper:

"Dear Mer,
I know that you will be happy to find out that Abbey arrived safely
and soundly in heaven. Having the pictures you sent to me was a big
help! I recognized Abbey right away!

You know, Mer, she isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me
(just like it stays in your heart) young and running and playing.
Abbey loved being your dog, you know. Since we don't need our bodies
in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep things in-- so I am
sending you your beautiful letter back with the pictures--so that you
will have this little memory book to keep.

One of my angels is taking care of this for me. I hope this little
Book will help. Thank you for your beautiful letter. Thank your
mother for sending it. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her
especially for you.

God blesses you every day and remember, I love you very much. By the
way, I am in heaven and everywhere there is love.

Signed,
God, and one of his special angels (who wrote this letter after God
told HER the words)."

How wonderful is that! I never knew there were angels working in the
Post Office.

Rebecca's Christianing and more

Here's my baby girl Rebecca when she was christianed. We lived in Virginia at the time in a small town called GreenBush. Uncle Joe drove to virginia to attend the christianing because he was her godfather.

Here's daddy holding Rebecca and Uncle joe proud as can be. Rebecca was hungry, didn't want to wait til after the christianing for that bottle, lol.

Here's the preacher placing Rebecca in my arms after Uncle Joe handed Rebecca to him. I never realized how good Jim looked in a suit before, wow. Bet his Mom and Grandmom would love a pic of him in this suit, lol.

She was not a happy camper after that water was put on her head, lol. Awwww she also was tired. Way past her nap time.

Well, there ya go, another round of my pics. I'll put in another batch later. Rebecca and I went out for a few hours today. We went to kmart and food basics. I had to get the things to cook dinner at my sister Helen's tomorrow. I am making spaghetti and meatballs and sausage and my homemade sauce. A big salad and garlic bread. We usually just order take out or cook on grill, but it's too cold to stand outside and cook. So, I will cook indoors. I am taking my camera too, will get lots of pics to share with you.

I know I already put this photo in, but when I did it was blurry cause I used my camera to take a picture of that picture, think I got that right, lol. I scanned it and you can see the 2 girls alot clearer now. So here's Rebecca and Marissa again.

Aren't they cute? They were such good babies. And now, let's just say, I NEED CALGON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL And here is Rebecca in her very first halloween costume. She is a ladybug. Or babybug lol and she wasn't happy to be wearing that costume. I think because of the hat, she hated hats on her head when she was that age.

Or maybe it was just gas, lol. Nooooo, I think it was the hat. And this next pic is of Jims grandmother. The one we named Rebecca after but switching the name.

Evelyn Rebecca holding Rebecca Evelyn.

More tonight, see you then.

LOVE TO ALL.........................
