It is just beautiful outside. I am so loving it. It's actually warm in here, almost 80 degree's in my apartment. It's fine with me though. I froze all winter, so I can use the thawing out, lol.

Well, I am going to cut this short, gotta go fix the rest of dinner. Have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Busy, busy, busy

Good Morning!!! And it is a beautiful morning too. The sun is shining, the sky is blue and it's suppose to be in the low 80's today. Woooooooohoooooooo, finally some decent weather. My windows are open, a nice breeze is coming in. I am in heaven for sure. Sorry I haven't made an entry in what, 4 days, wow, I am slipping huh, lol. Friday morning I had an entry done, all dedicated to cancer, clicked on the save button and AOHELL ate it. I was so mad I gave up, shut off my computer completely. And left the house for the day. I went to Riverside, New Jersey and picked up my friend Sarah. She is staying with me until tomorow morning when I take her back home. She has been such a help too. She watched Rebecca all day yesterday and even cleaned my house for me. Jim and I went out looking all day for a place to move too. I found a cute one story house, fenced yard, nice big back yard, with a For Rent sign in window and a phone number. So, tomorrow morning I will call that number and see if it is in our price range. If it is I will make an appointment to go see it. Keep your fingers crossed ok? I really want to move. And this house is not in the city of Philadelphia, woooohooooooooo.

Jim's at the laundry mat right now. I told him after we move, I'll have my washer and dryer again, so I can keep the laundry done. I miss using my own appliances. They've been stored in Joe's garage for almost 4 years now.

Jim is taking Rebecca to the park later today. She is excited about that. I will give him my camera to take pictures of her. She loves being outdoors. Takes after her Daddy for sure.

Well, I promise tomorow I will make a bigger entry, and more detailed. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekends. Keep your fingers crossed for Angie/CanyonSun04 today. She is having an Open House today and wants to get her house sold so she can buy her grandparents home. Send her good luck and good wishes, please. Got my fingers and toes crossed for ya lil sis.

I am going to go now. take care everyone and have a great day.

Your Child's Information/ Changes

In memory of all those who lost their lives and those who were injured on April 16, 2007 during the tragedy at Va Tech. May God open his arms to all those killed and give them passage into his kingdom. May he also bless the one's who were injured, and bless the families.

With what is happening in our school's today, and the fact that i found out I have 98 sex offender's in my area, which has totally disgusted me, because I would of never known this if I did'nt look it up on the internet, I decided I would join The National Alert Registry. At a $10.00 sign up fee, and $4.95 per month, I will be notified of sexual offender's registering/moving into my area. I will also be alerted if a child is missing or abducted in my area. And I can change my information at any given time when I move. So, to me this is well worth it. I am also given forms where I can print out. These 2 forms are called Child Identification Kit. You fill out your child's information such as name, date of birth, address, phone number, birthmarks, scars, height weight, a spot is provided for their photo, and also for their finger prints. I am going to fill these forms out for my daughter Rebecca and also for each of my grandchildren. It's better to be safe then sorry, and not have this information in case something happens. In this world today there is a child missing, abducted, and even killed every minute of every day. It is our job as parent's to protect these innocent little human being's from harm. But when they are at school, or at the park, or even in your own yard, there is always that chance they could be taken from us. All it takes is for the phone to ring, or turning your head for a split second, and your child could be taken. So, by having these forms ready to give to the police, will help make the process of finding my child or my grandchildren go alot faster.

If you cannot afford the fee's to join this organization which is a total of $69.40 a year, but you would like to have a Child Identification Kit available for your child or children, just in case it is ever needed, I can provide you with one. If I could afford it all, I would send it to you at my own expense, but I live ona one salary a week paycheck. But in my opinion it is worth so much if it helps in finding your child alot faster. If you want this kit, drop me an email and I will give you my address. Then send me a self addressed stamped envelope and I will mail you these forms. I was previously asking for 1.00 to cover postage and all, but you know what, it would be easier on me just to have you mail an stamped enveloped with your address on it and I can just mail it to you. Or you can go to your child's school or local police department and have them do one for you. If you want me to send you the kit email me at emabecmar@aol.com and I will send you my address as to where to send the SASE.

BE ALERT            BE AWARE              BE SAFE!!!!!!!

I will be going away on May 5th and will return on May 8th. It is my sister Helen's birthday May 7th and her husband is taking her to Ocean City, Maryland as a birthday present. She doesn't want to leave her home unattended and she has 2 dogs also, so I am going to go and stay at her home in Egg Harbor, NJ while she is gone. I am going to be turning off all my alerts during that time. It's gonna be a rough time for me, cause I won't have my computer, sniff, sniff, lol. But it's gonna be sooooooooo nice to get out of this city for a few days, and Rebecca will have a huge yard to play in and ride her bike, cause I am taking it with us. I will miss you all so much while I am gone. JLand is like a second home to me, and all of you are a part of my family. On May 4th, before I turn off my alerts, and shut down my computer while I am gone, I will send out an entry saying Good Bye, and when I return I will let you know with an entry. I will visit each of your journals when I return to see what I've missed. I'd better get off of this computer now and get some housework done. I hope you all enjoy your day.

Love to all......................................

Very old Photo's

Here is some of the old photo's my brother gave to me. I would love to know how old this clothing is these people are wearing. I am not worried about posting these pics here in my journal, because after all, I don't believe any of these people are still living. Their hair style and clothing is fascinating though. What do you think?

Postcards Part 2

These first 3 postcards are from the area where I grew up in.

Atlantic City, Wildwood, and Ocean City, all in New Jersey. And if you ask me which one I love the most, I would have to say Ocean City. The beach is awesome, the board walk is fantastic. I use to take my daughter Emma to Ocean City boardwalk alot when she was a baby. Emma was born in Atlantic City in 1980, during a major snow storm. Ok, so here you go, first 3 are in order as Atlantic City, Wildwood, Ocean City.

This next one is the S.S. Del-Mar-Va, out of Norfolk, Va. This Ferry boat was built in 1933 at a cost of $600,000.

Next one is just an old cartoon postcard, but I like it.

This next one has a little history to go along with it. It is of a Chapel that was restored at Fort Raleigh, Roanoke Island in North carolina. This chapel welcomes religion of all denominations. At this site on August 13, 1587 the first administration of a protestant sacrament in the new world was held, along with a christianing of an friendly indian named Manteo. A week later the infant Virginia Dare was christianed. Today this chapel still provides wedding ceremonies, christianings.

This one is the USO Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Servicemen who were stationed at Camp Croft made good use of the 5 USO clubs here. The largest club is operated by the YMCA.

This next one I saved for last, just because I thought it was pretty.

So, there you go some of my favorite postcards. I have so many more. I'll share them if you want to see them. I have alot more sculpture postcards, but if you want to see them, I must warn you, private parts can be seen. I also have some really old, and I do mean old photographs of people, I do not know. These were also given to me by my brother, given to him by someone else. The clothing they wore during that era is really amazing. If you'd like to see more let me know.
