And the big day is...............

I have wonderful news. Guess who is gonna be a Mommom again this coming tuesday September 11th? Meeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Emma went to her doctor appointment this morning, and her doctor Dr. Su, told her he scheduled her c-section for Sept 11th. The only thing that can stop it now is if her protein level is too low. I told her to eat lots of steak, peanuts, baked beans, that way monday when she goes for blood work her protein level will be ok. Emma is so excited, so am I. OMG, I'm getting another grandbaby in just 4 days. WOOOOOHOOOOOO.

There's a good chance I may have to babysit the day Emma goes into the hospital to have the baby. But don't worry. Dan said he will pick up my camera and take lots of pics of the baby, so I can show her off. I'm so happy, I can't stop smiling. I called Jim to tell him he was gonna be a Poppop again and he was thrilled.

Just 4 more days and Adrianna Lynn will come into the world. The doctor checked over the latest ultrasound pics and he swears she has a full head of hair. He said she's about 6lbs 6oz and 19 inches long. But there usually not accurate on that.

IS IT TUESDAY YET, LOL.

Good Morning

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket    I hope everyone had a good night's sleep. I slept ok. I only woke up one time during the night. And this morning I slept til 7:35. I just put a half pot of coffee on to brew. I need caffeine to wake me up so I can tackle this housework today. It's my kitchen. I think every dish, plate, bowl, cup, glass, pot and each piece of silverware is dirty. The sink is filled, stove is covered in dirty dishes, table is totally trashed with anything and everything and the floor is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. It's disgusting in that kitchen and I don't even like going in there. I can only do so much, then I have to rest, otherwise I ache so bad in lower back and legs that I just fall down. I have a very hard time keeping up with housework. It's not because I am lazy, because I am not lazy. Ever since the cancer and surgery, I have more problems now that give me limited use of certain parts of my body. Like my right arm. I am right handed, so now since I have very little use of the right arm I do everything with my left and it takes me alot longer. Say if it takes you 5 minutes to wash one dishpan of dishes, well it takes me at least 15 to 20 minutes. By the time I am done I am holding onto the sink for dear life and have to sit down. So today I'll probably be in that kitchen anywhere from 4 to 5 hours cleaning it. I have to get it done, it's horrible.

Emma and Dan will be dropping off Marissa and Daniel to me around 3 today. Emma has to go have another ultra sound. She has to go to Albert Einstein hospital, and it is a far drive and Emma doesn't know her way. So on these days she goes there, Dan works til 1pm then comes home to take her. He loves seeing the baby on the monitor. Maybe I'll get a good pic this time to share with you all.

Mmmmm, boy is this coffee good. I really need it too, lol. Well, I guess I will get some email read while I enjoy my coffee, then go and tackle my kitchen. Take care and enjoy your day.

Love to all....................

Past 2 days

The last 48 hours have been so tiring. I am exhausted, sore, every muscle and joint in my body hurts. Yes, I have over did it the past couple days. Yesterday I had to deal with Marissa and Rebecca trashing the house, getting into everything, they did clean it up some though. I had to make deviled eggs, steamed seasoned shrimp and a salad to go along with the steaks, hotdogs, baked beans, corn on cob, steamed clams that Jim and Joe cooked. We ate so much, then Joe made everyone a banana split for dessert. I shared mine with Daniel, that lil piggy ate most of it. Emma started feeling really horrible, so Dan took Emma and the kids home, so Emma could rest. Jim went to bed at 7pm last night, and Rebecca was in bed an hour later. I slept until 7am this morning and Rebecca woke up at 7:15. We got ready and took Jim to work, and then went to Emma's after we dropped him off. I knew Emma would need help today, cause she felt so horrible yesterday. I was right. She still felt crappy. I made myself a half pot of coffee, and fixed everyone pancakes, sausage and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Emma was able to eat 2 pancakes and 1 link of sausage. Then she laid down on the couch. The girls went outside to play and Daniel hung out with me in the kitchen while I did her dishes and cleaned the stove and counter. And I relaxed in between with my hot coffee. The girls played outside until lunch, then came in to eat. Lunch over and they were back outside until I left at 3pm. I was tired when I got home. I read a few journals, and woke up at 4:40pm sitting here at the computer, lol. I had to start our dinner. I made Jim and Joe each a huge stuffed pepper, salad, shrimp left over from yesterday. After dinner we had an icecream sundae. Joe went downstairs to his house to go to bed. He ate too much, lol. Rebecca begged to get ready for bed so she could go to sleep. And Jim just woke up on the couch in time to watch the news. I'm going to finish this entry and read a couple journals, then go to bed myself. I am staying home the next couple days to get my house cleaned up. It is a mess, especially the kitchen. I hope everyone's weekend and Labor Day holiday was a good one. Maybe I can sleep in a little later in the morning.

Kid food

As tired as I am I woke up at 5am. But I am enjoying this quiet time, while everyone is asleep. I think I am hungry, because as I was sitting here reading all your comments on my previous entry I started thinking about some idea's for kids food. All made with bisquits. The kind that come 8 or 10 in a roll, you pop open and bake. So here's some idea's I came up with.

Mini pizza's. flatten each bisquit with hand, place pizza sauce and shredded cheese on top, add favorite topping and bake til edges of bisquit are golden brown.

Cheese dogs. Flatten bisquit with hand, place a half hotdog along edge, add half slice of favorite cheese, roll and bake til golden brown.

Baked Taco's. Flatten bisquits, place 1 tablespoon prepared groundbeef fried drained and seasoned with taco season into center of bisquit in a line. top with grated cheese, tablespoon salsa, roll and bake til golden brown.

Fruit pockets. flatten each bisquit with hand, place 1 tablespoon favorite fruit (canned apples or peaches pie filling) in center. Fold in half, press edges with fork to seal. Sprinkle top with a pinch of sugar and bake til golden brown.

Breakfast pockets. scrambled eggs, bacon fried and crumbled and cheese. Flatten bisquits, place tablespoon eggs in center, top with bacon and cheese, fold in half, seal edges with fork and bake til golden brown.

Beings Rebecca is such a picky eatter, she just might eat these. Now I've totally made myself feel like I am starving. Is it time for the pancakes and sausage I am making for breakfast? LOL

What A Day!!!!!!!!!

It's just about 10:30pm and these 2 girls are still awake. I have yelled, "Shut up and go to sleep at least a hundred times since 9:pm. And there's a car alarm that has been sounding for the last half hour outside, and if it don't stop soon I'm gonna pop the hood and start ripping out wires, lol. Today was a busy day. We took a trip to New Jersey to Columbus Market and bought 2 pounds fresh shrimp, 50 little kneck clams, half bushel jersey tomatoes, 12 ears white jersey corn, half bushel green peppers, 10 cucumbers, 3 lbs fresh strawberries, 2 lbs grapes, 5 pounds white onions, pound of fresh mushrooms. Stopped in jersey to get gas. Here in philly it is 2.79 to 2.88, in jersey we found a gas station selling it for 2.41 a gallon. So 25.00 in tank and it is almost full. We're good to go for about 7 to 10 days. It's 68 degree's outside and 80 in my apartment. I would be alot cooler if I didn't have to keep getting up and down to go yell at these girls. I have just told them this is the last sleepover til summer of next year. Marissa usually sleeps on the couch, but tonight she won't because Rebecca told her there's a mouse in the couch(There'sNot) and now Marissa is afraid. So their both in Rebecca's bed. You see, after we got back from the market and unloaded the van, I left and went to grocery store. Well, as I was waiting in line to check out, I hear, HI MOMMOM. I turn around and there's Emma and Marissa. First words out of Marissa's mouth when she hugged me was, Mommom can I have a sleep over at your house. My first instinct, say NO. But everyone in other lanes was watching saying awwwwww how cute, so I said yes. I am glueing my lips shut next time I go shopping, lol. So, Marissa left the store with me and came home with me. Emma brought her jammies, pillow and change of clothes for tomorrow over around 8:30 tonight. Before bed they had a wrestling match with daddy/poppop. It lasted over 30 minutes, so you'd think they'd be tired and asleep. As soon as I am done this entry I will be going to sleep myself. I am exhausted. Tomorrow I have to make deviled eggs and cupcakes for our BBQ. Emma, Dan and Daniel will be coming over. In the morning I am making pancakes and sausage for breakfast. I haven't had pancakes in a long time. My family likes them with a dash of cinnamon in the batter. I like it that way also, because I don't need any syrup, just butter on them. I didn't cook dinner tonight. I made ham and cheese sandwiches, and we had some sliced jersey tomatoes. Afterwards we all had some Butter Pecan icecream. Sugar free of course.

I love that pillow picture in the pics above. My brother sent it to me from california. Whenever these 2 drama queens try to make up a big story from a small one, I always tell them, "Save the drama for yer momma", lol. Wow, it's quiet. Maybe they fell asleep finally.

Well, I do believe Dan's brother Bill will be leaving their household real soon. All last week he laid around, acting like he was dieing, slept all day and night. Friday came, he's up showered, all dressed up and out the door. He hasn't been home yet. He'll come back late tomorrow night when Dan and Emma are sleeping, and sneek down to his room. We found out when he is babysitting, he puts Daniel on couch with him, tells the girls not to move for anything and he goes to sleep. That ain't happening no more. Those children need someone watching them that is awake and alert. Emma is so mad. She told Dan, I want your brother out of my house!! Dan does whatever she says too. He knows who where's the pants in that house, lmao. On Sept 10th Emma is having an amnio test. If it shows the baby's lungs are fully developed, she'll be having the baby on the 12th or 13th. She told them her daughter starts school on the 19th and she wants to be there to take her to her first day of kindergarten. Her actual due date isn't until Sept 29th.

Oh I almost forgot. While at the market today, they had live crabs, 12.00 a dozen for males and 15.00 a dozen for females. Rebecca see's there claws, and starts blurting out, wow those crabs are snappy today, get it, snappy and she'd bust out laughing. And all through the market she's telling everyone, You know crabs have claws that are snappy, you get it snappy and she'd laugh again. She must of told 15 mexican's who can't speak english that same thing and all they said was No hablo english, lol. Or they'd smile and say Si, Si, lol. I told Jim, Let's hurry up and get this child home. He agree'd. My child, the comedian. She told us on the way home, she needs to work on her comedy act, lol.

Well goodnight all. I am tired and my bed and airconditioned room is calling me. Have a great day tomorrow.

Love to all..........................................Cindy

An email from Poppop Bill

Here SHE is, the USS New York, made from the World Trade Center!

USS New York

It was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade Center.

It is the fifth in a new class of warship - designed for missions that include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft

Steel from the World Trade Center was melted down in a foundry in Amite, LA to cast the ship's bow section. When it was poured into the molds on Sept 9, 2003, "those big rough steelworkers treated it with total reverence," recalled Navy Capt. Kevin Wensing, who was there. "It was a spiritual moment for everybody there"

Junior Chavers, foundry operations manager, said that when the trade center steel first arrived, he touched it with his hand and the "hair on my neck stood up." "It had a big meaning to it for all of us," he said. "They knocked us down. They can't keep us down. We're going to be back."

The ship's motto? "Never Forget"
