Today starts the month of November. Halloween is behind us and now we can enjoy all the signs of Fall/Autumn. Until later in the month when we look forward to Thanksgiving. But until then I will just sit and enjoy the Fall season. All the colorful leaves falling from tree's, seeing the little one's jumping into piles of leaves that have already fell from the tree's. Hearing the laughter, and cry's of joy as each takes a turn in the leaf pile. Yesterday I watched from my livingroom a man, go door to door knocking and asking if they wanted their leaves raked and bagged for a small fee. A couple people on my street let him rake up their leaves. He bagged them all, sat the bags on the curb, was paid for his task and off he went to try another house.

There is one thing I wanted to share with you about Rebecca's trick or treating last night. She came home with a bucket full and half a pillow case full of candy. I dumped it all out and Jim and I  went through it checking for tiny holes or marks it had been tampered with. We found nothing wrong. We told Rebecca she could have 1 piece of whatever she wanted. Her choice.....a small bag of sunflower seeds. All that candy and she chose sunflower seeds, lol. Guess my telling her she has to eat healthy paid off last night. We took out the gum and those lil laffy taffy things. She cannot have those, due to it may loosen one of her fillings. She was ok with me throwing those things away, cause she doesn't want to go back to the dentist anytime soon, lol.

Well, just wanted to ask everyone to please pray for our dear friend Angies grandpa. He is in the hospital, and Angie is very worried about him. Let's get a chain of prayer's going to send out to him. I guess that's about all there is to write about this morning. I still haven't made up my mind what I want to do about Jeff. But I said a prayer last night asking for guidance, so I'll just have to take it one step at a time and really think about my decision. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

  1. So cute about the candy, remeber doing that with my kids when they were small...would dump it all & inspect it then allow them to have a couple peices. The rest went into a huge bowl for treats now & then through the next month!
Don't forget to leave your prayer request on our Prayer Journal.
    Have a great day.

  3. Thank you for asking others to keep my grandpa in their prayers. I just love your Nov. Tree tag, so beautiful!  your right, I forgot to pull the sticky stuff, even for kids that don't have caps, that sticky stuff is the worst and hardest to remove even with good brushing. Nasty.
Okay, what did I miss?? JEFF??? HUH???? WHAT DID I MISS??????????????????????
    Hugs & love

  9. Hi Cindy,
I am glad your daughter had a nice Holloween.  Sunflower seeds, nice choice!  My son isn't a big candy eater either, I remember last year throwing out the rest of his Holloween candy maybe in February or something because he just let it sit.
I am feeling very down.  Had a job offer a couple weeks ago on a Thursday and on Monday was phoned back and told the person that was going to quit decided not to, they said they would keep me in mind next time something opened up.  Monday I got a call around 3, son was home sick with a fever, it was from the job that had fallen thru.  They had an opening, just 2 hours per night and wanted me to come in the same day at 7.  I told them I couldn't and I had plans for Holloween, the woman told me to call her back today.  I phone back today and get voicemail.  Left a message, waited and hour and a half and phoned back.  Woman says sorry but they filled position.  They will keep me in mind next time something opens up.  If I didn't want it so bad I would have told her to bite me.  I can't help but feel angry.  I guess I should have dropped everything and went in on Monday.  I've been applying at so many places, there are no jobs here in MI.  Or maybe it's my age???  I applied at Macy's at the mall last week.  Two days later I got a post card, thanking me for my interest in the company, but they had no job opprotunities at this time...huh??  They didn't even interview me, they had jobs listed on there board.  I don't have a record...I mean why send me anything at all???  Really ticked me off.
Sorry to vent but just feeling really pissed off right now.
Hope your night is better than mine...
    XO

  11. Justin got stickers and pencils from one house and he thought that was cool :)
I like this time of year. Although living along the coast we don't have too many chances to see the leaves change which I miss!
    Continued prayers for Angie's grandpa.
    Take care!

  12. Glad Rebecca had a nice Halloween. We didn't go very many places as Kyan is a baby and doesn't eat all that stuff anyway. He got a pumpkin full just from the people we knew.
    Take care, Chrissie
