The Power of Prayers

Purple is the color I use when I am happy. And today I am very happy. Did you see who is home above in the pictures? One week ago today this man fell off the side of a building, and today he is home with his family. Let someone, anyone tell me there is no God to hear our prayers and they will hear me roar. You all along with family and other close friends sent up prayers for my SIL and God heard you/us. This man is a walking miracle. To everyone who sent up prayers for Dan, I thank you and his wife and children thank you. You guys are the best there is, and don't ever forget that. If I could right now I'd hug each and everyone of you. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dan was released from the hospital because they said beings it was a trauma center there was really no more they could do for him. He will be having a therapists come to the house 3 times a week, to help him in his walking and climbing stairs, and excercises. He has to use a walker to walk with, and wears a back brace that wraps around his ribs. He is on Oxycodone, Flexoril and those pain patches (forgot the name of them). Today he wanted to just sit on the couch, well Drill Sergeant Emma, lol told him he is getting up off his ass and walking. Guess what? He got up and walked, lol. He tried to cheat and slide his feet cause the walker has wheels. Uh no Dan, pick up the feet and walk. He got upset cause Emma yelled at him, but she told him walk or your in a rehabilitation hospital until your better, he walked, lol. Man that girl is good. She made him walk around the house a good 15 minutes, but then his legs started to shake and he had to sit back down. She is going to do this every 2 hours with him. He has to go to Thomas Jefferson Hospital next week and see a spinal specialists for his back. If they cannot find out what is wrong with his back then they want Dan to go to John Hopkins University in Maryland and see a doctor named Reginal Davis, who is suppose to be one of the top doctor's in back injuries. And of course I got pics of the kids, except for Marissa. Poor thing was in bed, she didn't feel good. Adrianna is wearing one of the outfits I got her for Christmas. Jeans and a shirt and a jacket that have Baby Girl written on them. Dan says, Mom, that's what I call Adrianna. I didn't realize that until he told me. I also got her a long sleeve pink onesie that says, Grandma let's me do it, why don't you?  LOL

Every time I said Adriannna smile for Mommom, she smiled and stuck out her tongue. We all laughed. She is such a wonderful baby. I could not love her anymore then I already do. Alot of you here in Jland do the thankful thursday, so I figured I would do one this day.

1. I am thankful my SIL survived that fall and is on the road to recovery.

2. I am thankful for the 2 daughter's I have whom I love dearly.

3. I am thankful for the 3 grandkids I have who give me such joy.

4. I am thankful for the man I have spent the past 28 years with (Jim)

5. I am thankful I am here on this earth to enjoy all of these loving people in my life.

6. And I am thankful for all the friendships I have made here in Jland. You guys have really pulled me through some rough spots this past year, and really gave me hope.

7. I am thankful for our God in heaven who hears our prayers, and is always there when we need to talk to him.

GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU, AND MAY HE MAKE 2008 THE BEST YEAR FOR ALL. I LOVE YOU ALL..........

  4. I am so thankful about this testimony that God is alive.  I knew it all along but so many readers just aren't sure.  That's funny about Emma making him walk.  I know he's so happy tonight to be at home in his own bed and with his children.  I'm happy about the whole thing!  How miraculous!

  24. Ohh Cindy I'm sitting here beaming with joy for your family. Emma will have Dan doing what needs to be done in order to have him back to normal. Seeing him walking sure makes you believe there is a God. I can't believe he fell all that way had all that happen to him and yet there he is walking and alive. What a miracle. I love that thankful list and it sure is some wonderful things to be thankful for on the last Thursday of the year. Thanks for sharing all the wonderful pictures.
    Take care and Hugs, Chrissie
I think you all will have a very Happy New Year.
