I need a nap

Here it is almost 4pm and I haven't done anything today except make the beds. I don't have the energy to get up and do anything else. I went to bed at 10pm last night and got up at 6am. Did I fall straight to sleep? Yes. Did I sleep straight through the night? HELL NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Why? Because my ever so loving daughter Rebecca found it necessary to wake her tired, hurting, mother up 3 times last night. 1pm, Mommy my foot itches. I tell her scratch it and go back to bed. 2pm, Mommy my foot itches again. I get out of bed come in livingroom with her following. She grabs lotion rubs on foot. I check foot, nothing is there. It's better now Mommy with lotion on it. Ok, back to bed again. 3pm, I hear her yelling loudly, MOMMY!!!!!!!! I jump up run to her bed, she isn't there. I find her in bathroom sitting on toilet. I ask her why did you yell so loud and wake me up and scare me like that? She says I need you to wipe my butt, I went poopy. At 3am??? Got her wiped, back into bed. By this time I am dragging and go back to bed. 6am comes and she is wide awake, saying Mommy it's daylight you can get up now, grrrrrrrrrrrrr. I climb out of bed, make coffee, get diet pepsi, go in livingroom grab remotes, turn on satelite box and tv, and she has the nerve to ask me for cartoons. I growled at her and she ran in bedroom. She told her daddy I roared like a lion at her and it scared her, lol. Oh and no cartoons were turned on until I watched the news, lol. My back is throbbing right along with my head and shoulder, my eyes are bloodshot and burning from lack of sleep and she had the nerve to ask me if we can go for a walk, lol. Nope, no way. I wouldn't make it down the ramp. So instead she has been watching DVD's. So far she has watched Scrooge, Nutcracker and now is watching Happy Feet.

I found the phone number to call to find out where to register and when to register Rebecca for Kindergarten this year. And Kindergarten doesn't start until mid September? What happened to the day after Labor Day? I am so looking forward to her going to school. I can keep the house clean, take a nap, lol, work in journals, take a nap. Did I mention I can take a nap when she goes to school? LOL

Well, yesterday even though I was worn out from all that cooking the day before, I managed to clean livingroom, kitchen and bedroom. Made dinner, bathed Rebecca and got her in bed at 8pm. Sat down at computer and read I think 2 journals. Played in Pogo a bit, and off to bed I went at 10pm. I was so tired I couldn't see straight.

Tonight I think I'll go to bed early again. My body hurts, bones hurt, muscles hurt, you name it and it hurts. Maybe the lack of sleep I get on a daily basis is catching up on me. I don't even have the energy to walk down the steps and out to the porch to bring in the mail. Jim will be home in about 45 minutes. Maybe I'll lay on couch and rest til he gets home. Rebecca just put in a Betty Boop DVD, so she'll be ok til Jim gets home.

I guess that is about it for now. Hope everyone is having a nice day.

Love to all..............

  2. The joys of being a Mom right - 1am, 2am and 3am wake up calls!!  I hope you are able to rest this evening and can sleep through the night.  Kindergarten is a great thing - my oldest starts 1st grade and will be in a year round school so she starts in just about 2 weeks.  Leene

  6. The irony of it is we end up exhausted, they on the other hand somehow are full of energy even with the lack of sleep. I forgot what it was like when my daughter was that young. I think she probably 6 before I got a full nights sleep. (Hugs) Indigo

  15. Nothing is worse than getting woken up at night! I agree. I am always growling too when that happens.
When you mention school ,  I think of that TV commercial with the parent doing back to school shopping and the music in the background is "Its the most wonderful time of year" Ever see it? LOL
