NO WORD YET

NO WORD YET ON WHAT'S GOING ON WITH EMMA. SHE TOLD ME SHE WOKE UP WITH LOWER BACK PAIN, THAT SPREAD TO HIPS, STOMACH AND PELVIC AREA. THE PAIN BEING SO BAD SHE WAS SWEATING. THEN AMNIO FLUID STARTED LEAKING. SHE CHANGED HER CLOTHES QUITE A FEW TIMES, DUE TO LEAKING. SHE CALLED HER OB/GYN AND TOLD HIM WHAT IS GOING ON AND HE SAID GO TO HOSPITAL. HE WILL MEET HER THERE. EMMA CALLED DAN AT WORK AND SAID GET HOME NOW.

DAN STOPPED HERE AND GOT MY CELLPHONE, CAMERA, SOME CASH AND I GAVE HIM MY VISA CARD, SO HE CAN EAT IF HE'LL BE THERE LATE. I GAVE HIM MY CAMERA JUST IN CASE THE BABY WAS TAKEN BY C-SECTION TODAY. EMMA IS JUST A FEW DAYS SHY OF BEING 30 WEEKS PREGNANT. I THINK BY NOW THE BABY HAS FULLY DEVELOPED LUNGS. AT LEAST I HOPE SHE DOES.

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR PRAYERS. IT MEANS SO MUCH TO ME KNOWING MY DAUGHTER HAS SO MANY PEOPLE PRAYING FOR HER. SHE TOLD ME, MOM PUT ME AND THE BABY IN YOUR JOURNAL AND ASK FOR PRAYERS FOR US, SO THAT'S WHAT I DID. SO THANK YOU EVERYONE.

NEEDLESS TO SAY, I AM A NERVOUS WRECK RIGHT NOW. I HAVE SO MUCH I SHOULD BE DOING AND CAN'T GET MYSELF MOTIVATED TO DO ANY OF IT. THE SKY IS STARTING TO GET DARK WHICH MEANS THE STORMS ARE COMING SOON.

MOST OF YOU ALREADY KNOW THIS, BUT IN 1998 MY FIRST GRANDCHILD WAS BORN, MICHAEL JOSEPH. 2 DAYS BEFORE HIS BIRTH, HE WAS FINE. GOOD STRONG HEARTBEAT, MOVING AROUND IN EMMAS BELLY. 2 DAYS LATER NO HEARTBEAT AND HE WAS DELIVERED BY EMERGENCY C-SECTION. HE WAS STILLBORN. HE WAS 9LBS 5OZ AND 22 INCHES LONG. THEY SAID HE SUFFOCATED IN WOMB. WHAT GOT ME WAS 2 DAYS BEFORE HE DIED, THE DOCTOR WAS GIVING EMMA PERTOSSIN FOR ALMOST 17 HOURS AND SHE WOULDN'T DIALATE OR GO INTO LABOR, SO HE SENT HER HOME. SENT HER HOME???? HE SHOULD OF GIVEN HER A C-SECTION AND MY GRANDSON WOULD PROBABLY BE ALIVE TODAY. I HELD MY DEAD GRANDSON IN MY ARMS FOR HOURS AND I CRIED AND PRAYED. I TOLD GOD LET HIM BREATHE AND TAKE ME INSTEAD, BUT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. I CARRIED MY DAUGHTERS SON INTO HER ROOM AND PLACED HER DEAD BABY BOY IN HER ARMS. ALL SHE KEPT SAYING IS, MOM MAKE HIM BREATHE, MAKE HIM BREATHE, AND I FELT I LET HER DOWN. IT WAS LITERALLY RIPPING MY HEART APART KNOWING THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO. I FELT LIKE I HAD FAILED HER AS A MOTHER. SO NOW EACH TIME SHE IS PREGNANT, I AM SCARED TO DEATH. AND I DO A WHOLE LOT OF PRAYING.

THIS BABY SHE IS CARRYING NOW IS ALREADY SO VERY LOVED. I KNOW EMMA IS A NERVOUS WRECK ALSO. SHE IS WORRIED TOO. BUT SHE HAS A GOOD DOCTOR, IS AT A VERY GOOD HOSPITAL, AND HAS SO MANY PEOPLE PRAYING FOR HER.

I THINK I WILL GO NOW AND TRY TO GET AT LEAST THE DISHES WASHED. AS SOON AS I HEAR ANYTHING I WILL COME BACK HERE AND UPDATE YOU. KEEP THE PRAYERS FOR HER GOING PLEASE.

THANK YOU SUGAR FOR ADDING EMMA TO YOUR JOURNAL FOR PRAYERS. YOU ARE SUCH A GREAT FRIEND.

I LOVE YOU ALL.............CINDY

  4. I hope and pray the baby is ok. Maybe they'll put her on total bedrest for the rest of the pregnancy 'cause she went into early labor. I took care of a lady in nursing school like that. I remember she couldn't even get up to go potty. Nobody had washed her hair the whole time. So I put her on a gurney, wheeled her to the sinks where the Docs wash up before surgery, and washed her hair in that sink just like in a salon!
So lets pray that they can stop the contractions, and keep that baby safe!
    Love you,
    Pam
