Finally some good news

I finally have some good news to write down. Jim got a phone call this morning, from Ed's Glass. They wanted him to come in for a chat. He came home smiling. He got the job and start's tomorrow. I am so darn happy right now. And so is he. The boss said 40 hours a week plus all the overtime he wants to work, thank you god. I can get caught up on bills, and get some food into this house. Mailman just came, no unemployment check yet, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I called a couple places this morning to try to get some food, one placed said, we're sorry but the number you have called has been disconnected, no further information is available. Second place, I got an answering machine, saying to leave name and number and brief reason for calling. A third place there was no answer. I am just gonna try to borrow a few dollars from someone to get something for dinner today, if not I'll make do with what we have. I have a couple carrots, 2 celery sticks, onion half bag each of peas and corn, so I was thinking I can search the house find enough change for a can of beef broth or even chicken broth and fix some veggie soup. Hey it's full of vitamins and it's hot right? I have a little flour and 2 eggs left, so maybe some dumplings in it or fried bisquits I can make. We'll make do. Hopefully that check comes tomorrow. I pray it does.

I have my grandson Daniel here today. I've gotten so many hugs and kisses from him. That made me feel good. I love my lil man. Well, I'd like to send out a great big THANK YOU to a very special lady Angie/canyonSun. Thank you Angie, you are such a wonderful person. Rebecca wants to meet you she said, after she talked with you this morning. So, as soon as I get moved and we can plan it, let's plan for it.

I guess I will go now. My lil man is awake and beings it is so nice outside today and warm, I am gonna take Rebecca and Daniel outside for a walk. We could all use some fresh air. Have a great day all. I feel so much better today, knowing Jim has another job. Thank you everyone for your prayers and a special thank you for all who have helped me. I love you all.

  7. Cograts!!! So happy to hear this. GOD IS GOOD!
If you need food, go to a few of the Churches in the area, some of them will help...you don't have to be a member. Just go by or look in ph directory & get the Pastors name & call.
    I've done it many times!

  12. I know you may not want to, but there are EMERGENCY FOOD STAMPS available to those with  no money coming in..They are suppose to give them to you that day or give you a voucher to use at a local grocery store. I would go try to get it! Hey,t here are folks that do get it that don't reallly need it...and that is what your taxes are for.
I am so glad that God blessed your family this week with a new job!!!
    love ya,
