pics

Here it is, Halloween night, when all the little ghosts and goblins, go door to door hoping for a delicious treat to be dropped into their bag or bucket. All along hoping for that chocolate bar, their little taste buds enjoy so much. Going door to door, cautious of a frightening scare where a ghost or even the boogie man jumps out to scare them. Who will answer the door after they knock? Will it be a witch, a demon, or wolfman himself. The faces of the little ones when you open the door is priceless, because they are in fear they will be terrified into running away. No goblins at my house tonight. No candy being passed out. I can't do the 14 steps up and down everytime the doorbell rings. My my lil trick or treater finally made up her mind 2 hours before it was time to get ready what she wanted to be. We had last years witch costume, we had Dorothy from the wizard of Oz outfit, we had a hula costume and we had the butterfly fairy, but did she make it easy on mommy and wear one of those outfits? Noooooooooooo.......she wants to be a scarecrow. I tell her no I don't have time to fix up a scare crow costume. She goes running into the bedroom comes out carrying her coverall's and says I can wear these. I say no again, she says, paleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze mommy. Grrrrrrrrrrr, ok. I search for some material, scizzors, needle and thread, cut out and sew patches, make a trim around bottom of pant legs, find a long sleeved red shirt to make patche's, make hair bow's to match the patches, put hair in 2 braided pig tails, color cheeks with some lip stick and wallahhhhhhhhhh, girl scarecrow. Only stabbed myself drawing blood 6 times with that darn sewing needle, lol. But she looked adorable, daddy smiled and said she looked great, and Rebecca was happy. She hugged me and said, Thank you for my scarecrow costume, your the best mommy ever. Awwww, so the 6 needle stabs were worth it. I took 2 pictures of the kids together, but they came out horrible as you will soon see. I'm also gonna add a pic of Rebecca in her hula outfit taken last year. I need to get me a digital camera. Jim's cellphone camera takes horrible pics when it's not outdoors in sunlight. We had a time getting Daniel to be still, so I had to include Dan in the photo so he could hold Daniel. So here are Rebecca the scarecrow, Marissa the cheerleader, and Daniel as Batman.

And our hula dancer Miss Rebecca, lol.

Have a great night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. How adorable!
And I don't blame you for not giving out candy, 14 steps?!
But that was really nice of you to make that costume on such short notice. "The best mommy ever" Aww, that's so sweet.
I never decided on a costume either (I rambled about it in my journal, didn't let people know my decision though), so I'm staying home doing Pre-Calculus homework. Fun, fun lol.
Have a good evening, Happy Halloween!

  9. Hi Cindy,
How sweet of you to make that costume.  You have the patience of a saint.
I'm glad your daughter was so happy.
When my son got all together, he looked great....got out the camera and the battery was dead.
    Can you believe that?  Sheesh!
I for one am glad that it's over.
I had a ton of candy and ran out, lot's of kids out tonight.  Next year I need to remember...to pass out just one piece to each child.
