Amnio/C-Section/Park Scare

I guess I should explain a little more. This is Emma's 4th full term baby. Her first child Michael was born in 1998. He was a stillborn baby. He was a 9lb 5oz, 22inches long baby. The autopsy report said he died of suffocation in the womb, because he was so big and Emma was so small inside. Since then she has been given c-sections and having her babies born 1 to 2 weeks early, to avoid any complications like another stillborn baby. Beings this is Emma's last child her doctor is taking extra special care of her. He informed her that her uterous is really scarred to where it would be dangerous to have a baby vaginally or even another c-section after this one, therefore she is getting a tubal while she is still on the operating table. The amnio is being done to make sure the baby's lungs are fully developed. Emma's actual due date is Sept 29th. They wanted to give her the c-section and tubal on Sept 20th. But her daughter Marissa starts school on the 19th, and Emma doesn't want to miss getting her daughter off to school her first week. So they decided on the 11th. I hope this explanation clears it all up for you and I haven't forgotten anything, lol.

Ok, what I did forget to mention was the scare Rebecca had at the park today. She was playing with 2 little boys and also talking to their mommy and daddy. All of a sudden the ladys eyes rolled back in her head and she fell backwards off the bench and started shaking. The husband screamed, Please some one call 911. Jim took his cellphone out of his pocket and dialed 911 and told them an ambulance was needed and where. Rebecca started crying because she thought this lady was hurt or dieing and she grabbed for her daddy to hold her. Never will you hear my child ask to leave the park, but today she asked, Daddy take me home now please daddy. When she got home she looked so upset. That's when I decided to have her help make cupcakes, so to get her mind off of the park ordeal. I really hope she doesn't have nightmares about what had happened today. She is so sensitive when she see's someone hurt, she'll cry right along with them or for them. Jim said Rebecca was crying on the way home and asking if that lady is going to be ok. He told her she will be taken to the hospital in an ambulance and the doctor will make her better, then he pulled into the store on the way home and bought Rebecca an icecream cone. To a child there's no better cure than icecream, lol. Icecream is definately one of my home remedies for the kids, and me too, lol. In 9 minutes my child is going to bed. I will then fix Jim left over roast beef sandwiches for work and come back to the computer and read your journal entries.

Love to all.................CINDY

  1. Oh my goodness what a horrible experience for Rebecca - I can't imagine what she saw and went through.  I think just reassuring her that she can talk with you or Jim about anything at anytime will help, you are such an amazing Mom that I know you're going to help her through this.  I remember you mentioned the last baby that Emmi lost, I can't imagine what she went through - going through the whole l/d and then having a stillborn.  Extra prayers being sent for everyone including poor Rebecca.  Does Jim know which hospital the lady went to?  Maybe Rebecca could make a card or something, just an idea.  Leene

  11. Praying for a safe delivery for the baby and for Emma as she heals, I pray it's a gentle healing and that she does not over due things once she's finally home, that she'll allow her body to heal up properly.
I think Leene's suggestion on having Rebecca making the lady from the park a card is a good idea, if you guys know which hospital she went to, even if you don't know her name you could go to the ER and explain, they may not be able to help you but you never know. Did your husband get her name? I pray the woman is ok. Rebecca obviously has compassion, God's placed it there in her for her to use and grow.

  15. Ohhh that is so sad for her to have to see that. I am sure the ice cream helped and making cupcakes is always a treat. I certainly understand about Emma wanting to have the baby at a time where she can be able to get her daughters 1st week of school off to a good start. Huggs, Robin

  18. Hi Cindy hope all goes well with Emma and that Rebecca has recovered fom her scare, when my daugter was having her C-section they wouldn't do the tublar at the same time, told her that there would be too much swelling and that tying the tubes(as we call it)would not work. She had to wait, and decided afterwards to have the coil fitted didn't want another operation. So hope all goes very well for Emma must have better doctors there with you. Give her my love and looking forward to the happy news. Kathie.
