Did he see his shadow? Nope he didn't. Early Spring? Oh, I really hope so. I am already tired of the cold and the snow and wearing socks, lol. I hate socks, I really do. I just like to slip on my shoes and go. So, go away winter, go away snow!!!!!!!!!!

I got a few pics to share with you. My Rebecca being silly and of my lil man Daniel.

Here's my lil man. I just love his big brown eyes.

Yea, I know she is a girl and where's the pink ruffles, lol. But I just loved this outfit when I seen it in the store, and I had to get it for her. This next picture is her being silly. She said she's little red riding hood dressed up as a ghost, lol. What an imagination this kid has.

This weather we have been having is so crazy. They say snow, we get none, which I am glaad about, because I do not like it. But my crazy weather is nothing compared to what happened in Florida 2:30 this morning. 14 people lost their lives, and so many lost their homes, vehicles, things they worked all their lives for gone in just a few short minutes when a tornado ripped through their town with great force. I will pray for all them tonight when I go to bed.

Rebecca and I went grocery shopping tonight. I got my wheat rolls, veggies as in brocoli, asparagus, celery, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and fruits, oranges, apples, bananas, pears, blueberries, grapefruit. And I also picked up a box of Splenda. I'm gonna start using that in my hot tea at night instead of sugar.

I got something I'd like to share with you all. I never told you all this, but I have been a smoker for almost 31 years. When I found out I had cancer I still continue'd to smoke. I know I shouldn't have, I should of quit then. But I didn't I continue'd to smoke. But i am proud to say I have given up that nasty habit. It has been 14 days now since my last cigarette, and I am so proud of myself. I tried numerous times to quit but failed everytime. But this time it feels different. My 5yr old daughter said to me 2 weeks ago, Mommy you have to quit smoking cause if you don't your going to die, and I don't want you to die. I want you to stay with me forever. Well hearing those words come from this childs mouth and seeing the look on her face as she was telling me this, is all it took. The following morning when I got up, I did not light up. I made up my mind I was going to quit, and I have. I started smoking at the age of 15 and I am going on 46yrs old come June 12th, yep it definately was time to quit. I am using the patch to help me, Nicoderm CQ. Let me tell you, it works. I don't feel edgy or cranky at all. I'm gonna use the patches for another 2 weeks and after that I should be fine. And you know what? I feel great too!!! I can breath a little better, I don't wake up in the middle of the night to a dry mouth and throat coughing and gagging and my mouth no longer tastes like a dirty ashtray. So to my little girl Rebecca I say, thank you honey for loving me so much to want me to quit and helping to give me the will power to do so. So to all the cigarette and tobacco companies and farmers I say, phooey on you, no more of my money will you get!!!!!!!!!!. I have been putting the money each day aside in my savings account that I would spend everyday on cigarettes and guess what? I have 117.00 saved so far by not buying cigarettes. When it reaches 500.00 I am going to my bank and buying a CD (certificate of deposit) and am gonna let it collect interest and have a little something to retire with. Sounds like a good plan to me.

Can you believe it is February already? Just 12 more days and it's Valentines Day. Gonna have to tell Jim no chocolates for me, lol. I think I would rather go out to dinner at a nice quiet restaurant. I am craving a nice big salad, and some Shrimp Scampi, or maybe Crab Cakes. Of course I'll have to make sure they serve chicken nuggets, french fries and apple juice, cause Rebecca will be with us, lol. I know, we should go out alone, but you know what, I wouldn't enjoy the evening unless she was with us. She'd also be heart broken if she couldn't go out with mommy and daddy.

We'replanning on going to Berlin Auction again next month. And maybe just maybe I will get to meet a Jland friend there. She lives near the auction. Jeanne, I'll let you know when we're going again. We can meet at the clam bar at the far end, lol. And yes I am bringing my camera too, lol.

Well, it's almost 1:am and I am getting tired, so I think I will get ready for bed. Hope you all enjoy your weekend. Before I go I wanna ask you all a favor. Please pray for our dear Jland friends Sugar and Pam. They are both feeling yucky and I do hope they feel better soon.

CINDY

  10. Daniel looks like he's getting to be such a big boy or maybe it's just the haircut. Rebecca is her cute self as always. I know you'd be lost without her. I like the camo outfit myself. I'm so proud of you that you have stopped smoking. If you've been doing it for that long, I know it's hard, but you can do it. Keep up the good work. Hope it works out that you can meet Jeanne and get lots of pics.
    Take care, Chrissie

  11. Great pics. And I'm SO PROUD of you for quitting smoking!! You've got it beat after 2 weeks.  When I quit in 1997 at the age of 43 I quit cold turkey at first. After 3 days, my dr (at a reg. checkup) put me on Wellbutrin.  It worked. He put my husband on it, who'd quit a few days before me. It worked for him too. I was smoking nearly 3 packs a day.  Can you imagine the cost??? Whoa.
    Take care!! Barb
