SO SAD

I JUST CANNOT BELIEVE THIS DAY. I WRITE AN ENTRY ABOUT MY SISTER BECOMING A GRANDMOTHER AGAIN, AND THEN SHE CALLS ME AND TELLS ME HER HOUSE IS ON FIRE AND SHE'S LOST EVERYTHING INCLUDING HER 2 PRECIOUS DOGS. I HAVE SPOKEN TO LUCY A FEW TIMES TODAY. HER HEART IS BROKEN OVER THE LOSS OF HER ANIMALS. SHE LOVED HER PRECIOUS DOGS SO VERY MUCH. THEY WERE LIKE HER CHILDREN. I AM 200 MILES AWAY FROM HER. HOW I WISH I WAS THERE RIGHT NOW TO HUG HER AND LET HER KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE HER. MY SISTER HAS DEALT WITH SO MUCH HEART ACHE OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS. SHE LOST HER 18YR OLD DAUGHTER 12 DAYS AFTER SHE DELIVERED LUCY A GRANDSON. THE FOLLOWING YEAR SHE LOST A 5 MONTH OLD GRANDSON TO SIDS, THEN OUR FATHER WAS FOUND FLOATING IN A CREEK. TO THIS DAY WE BELIEVE HE WAS MURDERED. HE WAS SCARED TO DEATH OF WATER AND WOULDN'T GO NEAR IT. HE DID NOT KNOW HOW TO SWIM. AND NOW LUCY HAS TO DEAL WITH THE PAIN OF LOSING HER HOME AND ALL HER BELONGINGS AND HER 2 PRECIOUS DOGS. SHE HAD 2 CHIHUAHUA'S. ONE WAS 4YRS OLD AND THE OTHER WAS 7 WEEKS OLD. THE OLDEST ONE CHEWY SHE HAS HAD FOR 4 YEARS. SHE WAS HER BABY. THE PUPPY WAS LOVED SO MUCH, HE FOLLOWED LUCY EVERY WHERE IN THE HOUSE. SAT ON HER LAP, SLEPT WITH HER. I HAVE CRIED SO MUCH TODAY MY EYES ARE RED AND SWOLLEN.

LUCY HAS LOST EVERYTHING. AND THE SAD PART IS SHE DIDN'T HAVE RENTER'S INSURANCE. SHE COULDN'T AFFORD IT. SHE WAS STRUGGLING WITH THE BILLS SHE HAD NOW. THE HUSBAND SHE HAS BUT IS SEPARATED FROM DOES NOT WORK AND THERE FORE CANNOT SUPPORT THEIR 2 YOUNGEST CHILDREN AGES 12 AND 14, SO LUCY ALSO SUPPORTS THEM ALONE ALONG WITH HER OTHER BILLS. SHE HAS NOTHING LEFT, EVERYTHING IS GONE. THE HOUSE IS BURNED TO A CRISP AND FALLING OVER. SHE HAS NOTHING LEFT BUT THE CLOTHES ON HER BACK. ALL HER MEDICATIONS WERE IN THE HOUSE. SHE IS ON BLOOD PRESSURE, CHOLESTEROL, HEART AND NERVE MEDICATIONS. I AM JUST SO THANKFUL THE 2 YOUNGER KIDS AND MY SISTER WERE NOT HOME AT THE TIME OF THE FIRE. LUCY WAS AT WORK WHEN SHE RECEIVED A CALL THAT HER HOUSE WAS ON FIRE. I KNOW MY SISTER, SHE TURNES EVERYTHING OFF WHEN SHE GOES SOMEWHERE. THE HOUSE IS SO BURNED IT'S GOING TO BE HARD TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE.

MY DEAR FRIEND ANGIE HAS POSTED A REQUEST FOR HELP FOR MY SISTER. I AM SO THANKFUL TO HER FOR DOING THAT. AND I THANK ANYONE WHO REACHES OUT AND HELPS MY SISTER IN HER TIME OF NEED. PLEASE IF YOU READ ANGIE'S JOURNAL OR THE GIVING TREE JOURNAL, IF YOU CAN FIND IT IN YOUR HEART TO HELP MY SISTER, I WOULD BE FOREVER GREATFUL TO YOU. MY DAUGHTER EMMA AND I ARE DOING WHAT WE CAN TO HELP HER. IF YOU DO NOT GET ALERTS FOR THE GIVING TREE AND WOULD LIKE TO HELP YOU CAN CONTACT ANGIE AT CANYONSUN04@AOL.COM OR ME CINDY AT EMABECMAR@AOL.COM AND WE WILL GIVE YOU THE INFORMATION YOU'LL NEED.

I FEEL NUMB RIGHT NOW, MY HEAD IS SPLITTING. BUT I KNOW IT IS NOTHING COMPARED TO THE WAY MY SISTER IS FEELING NOW. I LOVE HER SO MUCH.

GOD BLESS..............................CINDY

  3. I feel so bad for her. That is like one of my worst nightmares.  I don't know what I'd do.  The owner's insurance company should help her some shouldn't they?  I will be keeping her in my prayers.  All of you in my prayers.
    Love ya, Pam

  4. So sorry to hear this, how awful.  Thank god that she and her family are ok though.  I wish I lived nearer so I could help but too far away in the UK.  Please try not to get too stressed, I am sure everyone will pull together to help her.  Hugs.  Terry x

  8. I'll be praying for your sister that some kind and generous people will help her .  It would be so devastating to loose everything like that.  I was sent over to your journal by Pam's journal entry.  Thoughts and prayers to you all.  'On Ya' - ma

  9. I'm heading over to The Giving Tree and will absolutely do whatever I can to help Lucy.  I'm glad Angie got it on there for you.  I'm sure this is devastating for her...AND you!  And to have two kids home too?  They must be SO upset to have lost everything.  I had a small little fire in my laundry room right before Christmas...I can't IMAGINE losing your whole house...AND the dogs.  I actually ran back into the house (stupid, yes I know) to get my dogs because I knew it would be bad enough for the kids if they lost their house, but to lose the dogs too???  Those poor kids....poor, poor Lucy....I am heading over to The Giving Tree right now....

PLEASE let me know if there is anything else I can do!!!

    ((hugs)) and love,
    Jeanne

  12. Your sister is very lucky she has YOU!  I'd give anything to have a sister who cared about me.  Seriously, my sister and I are estranged and our parents are gone.  This is so so sad about your sister and I am really sorry and worried about how she will make it.  Is there a way or a place to make some kind of donation?
