Update On Lucy

Good Morning. First off I want to thank Angie founder of the Giving Tree and Debbie from Derasta Creations for all their help. You two ladies rock!!! If you were here next to me right now I'd smother ya both with hugs and kisses. I also want to thank a friend of Angies, David? who lives in Virginia and found out alot of information to help my sister. The Red Cross put my sister up in a motel last night. She has to go to the Red Cross office this morning to pick up vouchers to go get her medication. They are also going to help her find a place to live. She is so greatful to them for this. Yesterday after she was checked in at the hotel, she heard a loud glass smashing noise. The motel owners 4yr old son threw a brick and it smashed the back window out of Lucys car. The motel owners tried to deny it, but Lucy called police and they asked the boy, he admitted to doing it. So, Lucy got an estimate and it's 825.00 to replace the window. It's a heated window, so it is costly. The motel owners are paying for it. It has been ordered and will be installed tomorrow.

Ok, Lucy told me how the police were asking her alot of questions yesterday. Like where were you, give us details about entire morning before you left the house. She felt as though they thought she set the house on fire. So, my sister tells the cop, look my 2 precious dogs were in that house and I have no renters insurance. Why would I burn down a house that has all my belongings in it and including my dogs. Cop changed attitude real quick. He realized he was asking the wrong questions. He asked about the home owners/landlord. Lucy told him their greedy evil people and are only out to make money. The fire department has determined the fire started in the bedroom in a corner. Lucy said that corner was full of shoes. No wires, no extension cords, no wall outlets. The only electric in that room was the light on the ceiling, that's it. They are pulling towards ARSON. So there will be an investigation. Jim has a point in a talk we had this morning. He said it would look alot better with fire having people living in the house with utilities on then it would look if no one lived there and nothing was on. But if this landlord really did do this, how can he be so mean as to destroy my sister's things and kill her dogs with that fire? That is just so cruel, heartless, cold blooded. It gives me chills. What if my sister or her 2 younger kids were there? My God I'd hate to think what could of happened to them. I know I could never ever do something like that, and be able to live with myself. It is just cruel. I hope and I pray that the police determine who did this to my sister and that person or persons is punished.

So, many of you wonderful people here in Jland have emailed me with requests for my sister's address and sending up prayers for Lucy. Your genorosity is just so amazing. I want to thank each and everyone of you from my heart for your kindness. Each email I read asking for an address to send her something has brought me to tears. You all make me and my sister feel so loved. My sister asked me to tell you all that she thanks you so very much, and is forever greatful to you. She also said I got some awesome friends here in Jland, and now she knows why I am always in Jland journals and not in POGO playing a game of Bingo. I told her Jland is my home, my family and I love each and everyone of you. She said, Sis, your friends are the best. And you know what? She's right, you guys are the best. I never knew there was so many loving caring giving people in this world until I entered the Jland family. You have made me feel so loved, needed and welcomed into this community. I don't know what I'd do without you all. And now your helping my sister, and that means the world to me.

So, to each and everyone of you, I love you, I thank you and if I could I'd give you all a great big hug so since I can't do that in person here is a JLand hug going out to you all.

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((MY JLAND FAMILY))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

                                    I LOVE YOU ALL

Arson, huh?  I wonder if the owner did it?  And if they determine it was arson, will the insurance pay for it? Wow that's crazy!
    Best wishes for Lucy,

  16. Hi Cindy, its terrible that after all that with the fire, your sis then had the problem in the motel with her car.  Can't believe that the policeman was like that with her when he questioned her but I suppose they have a routine set of questions.  Please email me an address, so I can send something to her.  Hugs, Terry x
