Autumn is in the air

Autumn/Fall. My favorite season of the year. Leaves changing from green to shades of red, orange and yellow. Able to turn off airconditioner's and use a fan. I love feeling the cool air coming from my fan in my window blowing on me during the night while I sleep. I always seem to have more energy during the autumn weather. It's during this season when I get most of the things done that I did'nt do during the hot summer or cold winter days. It's the time of year when I move furniture around, scrub, dust under, and even paint. The time of year when all the things used in the summer month's are packed away until the next hint of summer arrives. Autumn sweet autumn. Leaves start falling off the tree's, children jumping in the piles raked up from the yard. The laughter coming from a child when playing in that pile of leaves. The smiles on their faces is so heart warming. That pile of leaves at that moment is more fun than any toy they own. Ahhhhhhh, I love Autumn.

Today is going to be a busy day for me. I have a ton (well maybe not a ton) of laundry to put away, my kitchen floor to mop and the stairs leading down to the front door to vacuum. Then Rebecca and I are going outdoors so she can play in the leaves that have already fallen from the tree's. I have a project that I will be starting soon. I want to put in the storm window in the screen door, then arrange some fake leaves in colors of red, orange, yellow, burgundy around the edges of the window, add a string of white lights and replace the ugly white curtain handing on the front door with a lace burgundy curtain. Gonna spruce up the place a bit. My place is so boring. I can't wait to move into a bigger place. I have no room in this apartment. Hopefully it'll be soon after February that we move.

Well, I think the time has come to find a new home for Rocky. He is Rebecca's largest turtle. A Red Earred Slider. He has gotten so big and is now trying to climb out of the aquarium. He climbs up on the filter/pumps and pushes them under water with his weight. It is totally freaking Rebecca out when he does this. She won't even stay in the livingroom when he does this. She screams and runs for her bed. I keep telling her he is'nt going to climb out cause the screen cover is on the tank and the light weighs it down but she is still freaked. So, I've decided the turtle has got to go. I may even get rid of Joey also. He's a map turtle. I think nice colorful fish would be better for this aquarium instead of turtles. Less worries, less cleaning, yep that works for me, definately.

I hope everyone is nominating their favorite journals for the VIVI awards. I have done a few and still have more I want to post. I will work on that tonight. I would like to thank Pam, from Times of my Life, One nurses Story for nominating me for Best New Journal. That was so nice of her to think of me. I am truely honored. So, thank you Pam. When I first started my journal, it was just plain and I used smiley central alot, lol. But thanks to my sister Susie, and Sugar who taught me how to set up a photo bucket account and upload graphics and place them in my journal, I am loving Jland even more. And I also thank all the wonderful ladies who allow me to snag graphics and who make me name tags. You ladies are awesome. Maybe one day I can learn how to make graphics also. I would love to do that.

Well, I think I'd better get my day started. Gonna make Rebecca some breakfast, then get to putting all those clothes away. So, have a good day all.

Thank you so much to Missie of Missies Magical Creations for my beautiful name tag. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

WooHoo on being nominated for a Vivi. Good Luck doll. I have always enjoyed reading your journal from way back even before you got fancy.

I'm like you. I love fall/autumn for all the beautiful colors. Winter is pretty close just because I love snow.
