WORD CAME DOWN

WORD CAME FROM THE BIG OFFICE.  "TERMINATED" JIM IS NOW UNEMPLOYED. I CAN NOW BAD MOUTH THE COMPANY. SCREW YOU DIAMOND AUTO GLASS, KISS MY FAT A--. FROM NOW ON EVERYONE I KNOW I AM GONNA REFER THEM TO SAFE LITE AUTO GLASS FOR THEIR WINDSHIELDS AND GLASS MEDICS. DID YOU KNOW THAT DIAMOND AUTO GLASS CHARGES TAX ON LABOR AND IT'S THE LAW THAT THEY CAN'T DO THAT? I KNOW THEY KNOW IT, BUT DO THEY CARE.........NOPE CAUSE THEIR ONLY OUT TO MAKE A BUCK AND WHO CARES IF THEY OVER CHARGE THE CUSTOMER AND INSURANCE COMPANIES. THEY USE THE CHEAPEST SUPPLIES, REUSE TRIMS AND GASKETS AND CHARGE CUSTOMERS FOR NEW ONES, YEP THEY DO THAT. SO IF YOU NEED AUTOGLASS, CALL SOMEONE ELSE, NOT DIAMOND. THEIR SUPPOSE TO ADD THE SUPPLIES AND PARTS, ADD THE TAX THEN ADD THE LABOR CHARGE TO THAT TOTAL. BUT DO THEY? NOOOOOOOOOOO, THEY ADD LABOR, SUPPLIES, PARTS, THEN TAX THAT TOTAL. INSTALLERS WERE PROMISED RAISES IN JULY. DID THEY GET THEM? NOOOOOOOOOOO, WERE TOLD NOT ENOUGH WORK AMOUNTED TO GET A RAISE. NOT ENOUGH WORK? JIM INSTALLED ANYWHERE FROM 150 TO 250 WINDSHIELDS A MONTH, AND THAT'S NOT ENOUGH TO MERIT A RAISE?

BUT GUESS WHAT????????? JIM WON'T BE HELD DOWN. HE GOT A PHONE CALL TONIGHT. HE HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH A FRIEND OF HIS. HE'S GONNA HELP HIM OUT TOMORROW AND HOPEFULLY HE GETS ALOT MORE WORK. IT'S HOME REMODELING. JIM'S REAL GOOD AT THAT. HE ALSO FOUND OUT JOE'S BROTHER WHO OWNS A GLASS & MIRROR COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR HELP. HE KNOWS JIM'S WORK SO THEIR GONNA TALK TOMORROW NIGHT. I REALLY HOPE IT WORKS OUT. AT BEING OVER 50 YEARS OLD, IT'S HARD TO FIND WORK.

TODAY THE MANAGER OF DIAMOND TELLS JIM, OH WE'RE SORRY TO FIRE YOU, YOU ARE AN ASSET TO THE COMPANY, LOL YEA RIGHT, TELL SOME OTHER SUCKER THAT. BUT BECAUSE THERE'S A DENT IN THE FENDER OF THEIR PRECIOUS VAN, JIM LOSES HIS JOB. SOME OLDER GUY IN FRONT OF JIM PULLED OUT FIRST, JIM LOOKED BEHIND HIM, STARTED TO GO AND BOOM, THE OLDER GUY STOPPED BEFORE JIM COULD AND HE HIT HIM. JIM ASKED THE GUY FOR THE INSURANCE INFO AND OFFERED THE INSURANCE INFO FROM THE VAN, THEY GUY GOT BACK IN HIS CAR AND DROVE OFF. MY THINKING WAS HE EITHER HAD NO INSURANCE OR NO DRIVER'S LICENSE. JIM DID GET THE TAG NUMBER.

It's my "me" time right now. Jim and Rebecca are finally asleep. Wow, is it ever quiet. And believe me I am loving it. Rebecca made no mess today, lol I put everything away and up high out of her reach. She spent alot of time on the computer today, so that kept her out of trouble. Let me say, she does get punished when she makes so much mischeif. I don't hit her, but I do give her time outs. She has to sit on her bed or stand in the corner. I don't let her get away with it. I just really don't want to hit her. #1 She's so petite, I'm afraid I'll hurt her. #2 I read something a long time ago where a parent spanked their child and it caused a blood clot and the child died. So that scares me. They said it is rare to have that happen, but still with the luck I have I don't want to take any chances. I do take toys away, if she doesn't help clean them up. Just come over and look in my closets. I can open up my own toy store.

Well, not much more to write about, so I guess I'll go now. Take care all and have a good night.

THANK YOU MISSIE FOR MY LOVELY NAME TAG. BEINGS BREAST CANCER RUNS IN MY FAMILY, I WILL USE IT ALOT.

  5. Oh Cindy, I'm so sorry about Jim's job. What a screwed up company! I love the way you stuck it to them in this entry, LOL. Will he be able to collect unemployment until he finds something else? It's good that he'll be working with his friend tomorrow, and hopefully Joe's brother can offer him a position. Keep your chin up and believe that something good will come along. I glad you're enjoying some "me" time - that's so important. {{{HUGS}}}

  11. Well i"m sorry he got fired for something undeservingly, often that hurts worse, knowing you didn't deserve it.  But it seems he has a network of connections and I hope it will pay the same and not effect you.

  16. Cindy,
    I am sorry to hear about Jims job.  I am sure that everything will work out for him (I am saying a prayer for your family).  Sometimes things happen for a reason and maybe he needed to be away from that place and people.

  17. I am sorry about Jim losing his job. He may be better off in the long run than working for a crooked company. Sounds as if they were waiting for a chance to let him go because of age. Hope things work out for him. Helen
